I unwillingly make my way out to the courtyard to see Wednesday pacing, it is raining and I see a bandaid placed on her forehead. "the fuck happened" I ask while grabbing her head to inspect it further.
"Lost to a fencing match.. " she says in an almost embarrassed tone which makes me tisk at her over confidence at times. "To who?" I respond as I finally let go of her head as she huffs out in dread, "Bianca" she replies in a tone filled with angst.
"Gotta observe more before you run in head first" I mumble as she nods her head to cut my lecture off, "okay, let's get you back to your dorm then" I say while smoothing her hair down. Now our family isn't overly loving and touchy but Wednesday and I had always been a bit more caring to each other than the rest of our family.
She nods her head and I pat the top when all of a sudden I hear a scratching noise, I look around confused before realizing it's coming from above us. My eyes widen and I'm about to grab Wednesday so we could move when all of a sudden I feel a hand wrapped around my arm and I feel a strong breeze.
When we stop moving I see Rosalina standing there and we're about ten feet away from a now shattered gargoyle which happened to be heading in our direction no less than 5 seconds ago. I look from Valentina to the gargoyle and back to Valentina again with wide eyes.
"Are you guys okay?" She asks while looking both Wednesday and I over as we both nod our heads, "vampires can move that fast?" Wednesday says in just as much sock as me even though she's showing less of it.
"Uh.. not most in the only one who can that I'm aware of, but most vampires here won't talk to me so I could never really ask" she shrugs off before grabbing both of our hands and bringing us back into the direction of the nurse.
"I know you guys most likely won't want to be in here but just to make sure" she says while dragging us into the nurses office. I willingly follow Valentina while Wednesday looks like she'd rather be anywhere else.
We tell the nurse about what happened and she calls Ms Weems before checking us over and sending us off once she sees that Valentina got to us in time. "Thank you Valentina" Wednesday says as soon as we leave the building.
"Anytime.. actually please don't make almost dying a casual thing" she answers making a smirk break out on my face at the sight of the little pout that formed on her face. Wednesday nods before walking off as I stay still and look down at Valentina.
"Are you sure you're fine? I got there in time" she asks while looking up at me with a worried face, "you're fine cariño" I respond fondly before taking a deep breath to try to snap out of it. I'm acting like my father at this point, I can feel my affection for Valentina oozing out of my body and it disturbs me but at the same time I couldn't care less.
She nods her head with a cute little blush on her face before I look away to try and stop my heart from beating so fast at the mere thought of her. "So, how do you like Nevermore?" I ask trying to make conversation as she shrugs her shoulders, "it's alright, I've been here a while so you get used to how everyone behaves" she responds.
She reaches for my hand and starts pulling me more into the general area for the school, "I've noticed people are assholes to you" I say before thinking making me internally scold myself. "Yeah, it is what it is I don't mind" she shrugs it off "they're a bunch of stuck up kids anyways so" she continues while making a face as a chuckle escapes my mouth.
"So why did you and your sister come here?" She asks while turning to me, "tried to kill a kid for picking on our brother and got expelled" I say nonchalantly making her nod her head. "What about you? Why'd you come here?" I ask in response making her bite her lip.
"Um my family couldn't take care of me and people at my old schools were convinced I'd murder them all so they sent me here all the way from New York" she says solemnly making me squeeze her hand in reassurance.
"Hey cariño, fear is power remember that" I say while stopping and placing any hands on her shoulders so she could turn toward me. "Thank you" she says while trying to avoid eye contact with me.
"Wanna go get food?" She asks when she spots the line for dinner making me nod my head as she grabs one of my hands again and brings me along towards the kitchen to get in line. Once everyone sees us coming the scram like a bunch of ants under a boot.
I smirk at the sight as Valentina ignores it and grabs a tray from the lady handing it out. "Thank you Yolanda" she says as the lady nods nervously in response. She hands me a tray and I grab it with one hand, still holding onto Valentina as I feel someone walk up behind me.
I see Wednesday and see that she's looking at Valentina and I's joined hands, "we have therapy tomorrow" she mumbles making me nod my head before she walks off. We type in a number that we got from the school and walk off with our food.
"Wanna sit anywhere in particular?" She asks making me think, "wanna go to my room? Or yours?" I ask making a smirk form on her face making me realize what it sounds like, "just to eat and talk" I clarify making her eyebrows raise.
"Hmm, we could go to mine Ms Thornhill is scared of me so she lets me do what I want" she says with a shrug before leading us up to the dorms. "You have your own dorm right?" I ask making her absentmindedly nod her head before freezing.
"Trying to bone already Addams?" She says with a smirk making me respond with a smirk of my own, "if you want me to sweetheart" I say making her face flush before she turns back around and faces ahead as we walk up to her dorm. She unlocks the door and we walk in to see a very dark and my type of vibe looking room. "It's nice in here" I compliment making her smile over at me.
"Thanks, I finished designing everything just last year, took a while for everything I wanted to get here" she responds while setting her plate down on the table in front of us. I follow and sit down across from her. From then on we spend pretty much the rest of the night talking and getting to know each other better. Wednesday may want to leave this place and I did too at first but now that I know Valentina.. realistically that isn't going to happen. I'm going to make her mine.
