(Sorry for the late post.. ngl I forgot I was writing this😭😭)

Malikai's POV:

After we got back from school Wednesday and I got this whole lecture from Weems in which her and Wednesday bickered the whole time, I ignored them and sat in a chair waiting for them to be done.

When they finished Wednesday and I left, while Wednesday was grumbling to herself I couldn't help but think about Valentina again.. I know I know very sappy and cute or whatever but the blush that rose on her face made me want to keep her by my side.

It is the next morning and I can't help but dread the fact that I have to interact with people today... a disgusting thought if I'm being quite honest with myself.

I get up and start getting ready and I leave my dorm only to see Valentina sitting on the couch of the common room going through her phone. I look around before sitting down next to her making her look up and give me a half smile.

"Gimmie your schedule" she demands making me pull the piece of paper out of my back pocket before handing it over to her. "Okay... we have like three classes together and I already found out Wednesdays schedule from Enid and the other three you have with Wednesday" she says making me nod my head.

At least I'll get to be around Valentina for half of the day. "We have Art, English, and Math together which Wednesday is in too, so you'll be fine" she continues making me hum out loud as an act of acknowledgment.

"You ready for your first day?" She asks making me shrug my shoulders, "not the happiest but I'll just annoy you if it comes to the point of boredom" I state making her scoff. "Okay Kai, whatever" she mumbles before grabbing my hand and dragging me to the cafeteria to get breakfast.

She gets a simple breakfast sandwich while I get literally everything on the menu, pancakes, waffles, fruit, cereal, eggs and toast. "You're gonna feel bloated as hell in class" she states when we sit down at one of the tables together.

"I have a fast metabolism, I'll be fine" I state making her look at me skeptically before nodding her head and changing the subject, all of a sudden a snobby voice is heard from next to us. "Oh look the freak found another freak friend" none other than Bianca says while standing at the end of our table.

"Fuck off Nemo" I grumble making her roll her eyes before walking away, I hear Valentina snicker a bit making my heart swell. I look over to see a barely noticeable smile on her face as she looks over at a now very upset Bianca.
"You only just got here and you're already pissing her off, I love it" she says before taking a bite out of her food before turning her attention over to me only to see that I'm already admiring her.

"What" she says when she finished chewing her food, I shrug in response as I continue to just look at her making a blush form on her face.. once again. I'm glad there's a visible sign of interest and I'm not just being delusional about my chances with her.

Suddenly Wednesday sits down next to me with a less than ecstatic look on her face as a loudly talking Enid follows and sitting down next to her. "And then suddenly everyone just found out at Bianca and Xavier broke up" she finishes whatever she was saying before smiling over at Valentina and I, neither of us reciprocating it.

She shrugs it off before starting a new story to tell as all three of us start to tune her out, By the time I'm finished with my food I see Wednesday and Valentina just staring at Enid who has a very embarrassed look on her face.

"What happened" I ask not understanding what I missed, "nothing" Wednesday says before getting up and walking off making Valentina and I share a confused look. I take a deep breath and take a few more bites of my food before quickly getting up to follow Wednesday.
