Molly's POV.
People always say there are always two sides to things, and you're either on one side or the other. You're either good or bad, the villain or the hero, the savior or the lost cause. Which side I'm on is different depending on who you ask. To some I'm a hero, a courageous leader, a powerful ally. To others I'm a villain, a dangerous rival, a monster. Personally, I never cared what people see me as, my job is to play both sides and get it done. I'll be whatever I need to be for that to happen. If I need to kill, I will, no matter if they are innocent or guilty. I'll save who needs to live and no one more. I don't care if that makes people love me or fear me, it doesn't matter. I'm human of course, there are things I care about that I NEVER want to lose. The biggest is, of course, my family and friends. They are my whole world, my biggest strength and weakness. I can't imagine my life without them, and I will do ANYTHING to keep them safe. You can't really blame me; I spent the first five years of my life without any friends or a family that cares about me. It only makes sense I would become protective of them and NEVER let anything happen to any of them. But there have been those who dare try and let's just say, it's never been pretty. My family knows this, and it's never really affected their opinion on me. To my parents, I'm their sweet little girl. To my older siblings, I'm their cute little sister. To my younger siblings, I'm their kind older sister. To Ezra, I'm his beautiful wife. To my friends, I'm their greatest friend. In battle, I'm the strong leader. This has never changed but there is a side of me that they try to make sure it never appears. But sometimes it just can't be helped, kind of like this day. Dabi was just supposed to go for a walk in the my hero world, get some fresh air before it gets too dark. I was having a pretty good night; it was peaceful and relaxing. I was just playing games on my computer in Ezra's and my room, thinking about changing into my PJ's, when an alarm popped up on my holophone's blue screen appeared beside me, with the words "SOS -Dabi." This system was placed in our holophones in case we needed backup, but we very rarely used it. This could only mean my brother needed help and needed it now. I didn't waste a second before jumping out of my chair and rushing towards the window. As soon as I opened the window and jumped out, I had my wings out and flying as fast as I could. Thanks to heightening my senses, I was able to quickly catch my brother's scent and follow it. It took me only a few minutes to get to the middle of the nearby forest that was near our house in this world. There I saw Dabi but what made my eyes go wide was that he was fighting three people. It looked to be some hero with maybe two sidekicks, attacking my brother and him fighting as best he could without his flames. This already made me mad but then one of them threw something at Dabi. The thing exploded and a net appeared, hitting Dabi and causing him to get tangled in it. This would make it almost impossible for him to get his wings out and fly away. Anger flooded my body, and I flew straight at this so-called hero that was walking towards my brother. I rammed into him, and we wrestled for a bit on the ground until I pinned him on his back. I could see my claws digging into his ugly hero costume and the guy looked up at me, his eyes went wide in what looked like fear. I must have looked terrifying, but I didn't care, he attacked someone close to me. He looked like he was about to say something but I quickly stopped him with a "SHUT UP!" He quickly shut his mouth and didn't try to press his luck, not like it had already run out. I slowly stood up but kept above him, as I summoned my necklace to transform into my sword. I placed the blade at his neck, ready to end him at any moment. "You two better stay where you are at if you value your lives." I said to the two sidekicks, who stood nearby. The two were smart to obey and stayed there, watching everything that was happening. "Dabi, explain." I commanded, not taking my eyes off the hero. "How about you get me out of this net first." Dabi said, sounding annoyed. "You have flames, use them to get out." I retorted, still not moving. "He can't, the net is fireproof. It was made to capture people with his quirk. His flames will do nothing to it." The hero said, glaring at me. "Then use your claws, I'm sure the net won't be cut proof." I said, glaring back at the hero. "Can't really do that boss. My arms are pinned under me. Can't really move them right now." Dabi said, trying to move but couldn't. I thought for a few moments, before saying, "Let me deal with these idiots first. Now explain." Dabi let out a huff but started to explain. "I was out walking when these three came out of nowhere and ambushed me. I couldn't use my flames since with one wrong move, this whole forest could go up in flames and that might mean it'll burn the house down. They barely let me do anything when fighting back, that's why I sent out the SOS message." Unfortunately, my brother is right about the forest, it's been very dry lately and that means it wouldn't take more than one good flame to set everything ablaze. The house isn't too far from here, which means it wouldn't take long to get to the house. We don't fully know what would happen since the house can just move to another world but setting it ablaze is not how we want to test it. "You have one chance to tell me the reason why you attacked him." I told the hero, still keeping the blade at his throat. I used my magic to connect to the guy's emotions to see if he is telling the truth and find his real motives. "Why?! It's Dabi! What other reason is there?! He's nothing but villain scum, no matter what anyone else says! He needs to pay for everything he destroyed and all the lives he took! He deserves nothing more than to be locked up for the rest of his life or maybe even put on death row!" The hero exclaimed, spouting more and more nonsense. This jerk is really getting on my nerves and I've about had it with him. I knew most people would still see my brother as the villain he once was to them, even after it came out that he works with Keigo running their own hero agency. There hasn't even been any more reports about him working with villains and yet this guy is spouting such GARBAGE. I looked closer into his feelings, and I could tell why he really wants to take Dabi in. All he wants is the fame from the people who still see him as a villain, he thinks he can use it to raise up in those stupid hero ranks. All this guy cares about is the glory of being a hero and not to help or save others. "ENOUGH!" I yelled, ending his stupid babble. "YOU are NOTHING but a joke to the title of hero. Dabi has done NOTHING since reappearing. Now here you are trying to act like a savior when you're nothing but dirt under my shoe." I growled, striking a nerve in the guy. "Once a villain always a villain! Anything he does now will never erase all the damage he's caused!" The man yelled in defense. Before he could say more, I pressed the tip of my sword harder on his neck. "Silence, before I skewer you on my sword." I coldly commanded. We stared at each other for a few moments before I let out a sigh. "Fine, you want to be a hero so bad, let me give you the injuries of one!" I said, before using my magic to give my right leg some strength. "W-wait, what are you-" The guy was about to ask before I stomped on the arm closest to me. I used as much strength as I could, along with the strength my magic gave to it, and it was enough to snap the bone in two. The man howled in pain, probably now not able to feel the limb. "What's wrong? I thought heroes can handle a little pain?" I snarled, before moving on. I then used my magic to lift up one of his legs before snapping it just like the arm. He shouted in pain, starting to beg me to stop. Got to admit, I feel a little pleasure when I hear them beg for their pathetic lives. "Stop!" One of the sidekicks pleaded but I just ignored it. I just used my magic to make sure the other leg matched. The man started crying in pain but I felt nothing for the fool. "S-stop it! Y-y-you VILLAIN!" The other sidekick cried out. Now that got my attention, but I don't think it gave the result they wanted. I quickly turned to them, my attention fully on the two frightened sidekicks. One of them let out a yelp when they saw my face, I probably looked scary to them. "Villain? You think I'm the villain in this situation? Tell me little "hero", explain to me what exactly makes someone a hero or a villain. Because I'm a little confused here. You guys attacked someone who was just minding his own business, I'm putting a poor sad excuse of a human in their place. Oh, but he's a hero, you're probably thinking. You only THINK I'm the bad guy because I'm attacking you precious mentor. That's ALWAYS the thing with you "heroes". One little act and you label them as a hero or a villain, never getting the full picture of the situation. You never, EVER, fucking stop and listen to both sides do you? You always think your 'heroes" are so amazing and could do no wrong. News flash, not all of them are saints like you think. Just like how some villains are not that mean and cruel, they might actually have reasons for doing what they do or being how they are but you never think about that. If you did, you might know that I'm no villain. I think the best label for me to have is maybe an antihero, or maybe not, I don't really care. I work on both sides, have to, it's my job. What else comes with the job is knowing both sides of the story. How about you do that for once, but I won't wait for you to ask, you might spill some more garbage from your mouth. Now as for my reason for doing what I'm doing right now, you fucking idiots ATTACKED MY BROTHER! OF COURSE I WOULD BE MAD! Wouldn't you do the same if someone attacked someone YOU cared about?" I roared. I took a deep breath, calming my emotions and steeling myself before looking at them again. There was a mixture of fear and shame on their faces, the truth of the situation maybe dawning on them. Guess I can't fully blame them, they were probably just following this moron's orders. I can probably let them go but not before giving them a small punishment. "Now before I let you leave, let what I'm about to do next be a reminder of MY lesson." I said, before casting a spell on them. My magic glowed around them for a second before disappearing. "There now you can NEVER tell anyone what has happened here today. You can never tell anyone what I have done or what you know about this. Maybe this will eat you up inside, hearing someone praise me as a hero or something and never giving them your reason why you night not think that. Wouldn't that be a shame. Maybe it won't but who cares, you'll be the only ones to know the truth about what happened to this man and you won't be able to do a thing about it. Now go." I said, before teleporting them away with my magic. With them gone and taken care of, I turned my attention back to the trash. The man's eyes widened; fear written all over his face as I walked back towards him. He tried to pull himself away with his only remaining working limb but it was no use. "P-please, I'm so sorry. I'll never do it again, I swear. I'll quit being a hero, I'll leave your family alone, I'll do anything just please let me live." He pleaded but I felt nothing for this man. I just looked at the man blankly before saying "You don't deserve the title of hero but I guess I can give you a hero's death." I then sliced his neck with my sword. I then stared at him in the eyes as he took his final breath, a drop of blood falling off my weapon. Guess I'll have to clean it when we get home. I then turned towards my brother and walked over to him. I knelt beside him before making my claws appear and carefully slicing the net off him. We worked together to get him untangled, freeing him from the awful thing. Once he got to his feet, he dusted the dirt off himself. "Man, don't think I'll ever NOT be afraid of that side of you sis. Think you scared the shit out of those sidekicks but I'm sure they'll be grateful you let them live." He said, before I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug. "I'm happy you're alright." I softly said, feeling myself a bit drained. It took only a second before Dabi was hugging me back. I hate making him scared of me but his hugs always reassure me that he'll always have my back. "Don't worry sis, I've got you." He softly spoke, making me feel at ease.
Dabi's POV.
This isn't the first time I've seen this side of Molly, and I don't think this will be the last. The first time she was in that state was back when we were still kids. A group of kids were causing us problems at a park we decided to visit. It was only Molly and I and they were twice our size, an advantage they were using. Things got physical but I did my best to protect her. One of them had grabbed her while the other two were still beating me to death. Next thing I remember is all three of them on the ground badly injured. One looked like he lost an eye to her claws, another looked like they had lost some fingers. The last one, the leader of the group, was laying on the ground with Molly strangling him. I was able to convince Molly to let them go, that they learned their lesson. It worked and those boys were able to keep their lives. Mom and dad almost couldn't believe it when I told them but they reassured me that they'll handle it. I don't know how but word about what Molly had done never got out. We were worried about Molly for a bit but she quickly went back to being her usual self. After a few more instances, we realized it was some sort of defense mechanism but not for herself. Molly will be quick to go into this weird rage if someone close to her is in serious danger. Do it right, and you can convince her to stop before she kills the person. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of something to say to save that hero, especially after that sidekick said that word that always ticks her off. Guess I asked for this, I knew she would be the first to respond to my SOS but I needed the backup. That state scares me every time I see it. How quick she's able to change from murderous to stone cold in a blink of an eye. How ruthlessly she kills or tortures someone just because she can. It's enough to make just about anyone freeze in terror. Why she's like this, I don't know but it doesn't happen often. Most people would be terrified after seeing her like that but right now, all I can see is the sweet and kind little sister that I grew up with. Hugging me like I could disappear at any moment. No matter how she gets, I'm her older brother and I will always be there for her. "Wow, that was a little brutal." A familiar voice comments. I turn around to see Ezra, gliding down from a tree. Somehow, he looks completely calm, even with a dead body nearby. "How long have you been here?" I asked. "Around the time Molly started breaking his bones. Had to make sure the others stayed at the house but I knew she had this." Ezra said, a smile on his face. "And you didn't join in or try to stop her?" I asked, knowing he would have done a better job. "And risk that wrath turning to me? No way." He said, like it was obvious. "Well she ended up killing that guy." I said, pointing towards the body. "Yea, but no worries. The guy was going to die in about three days from a minor villain encounter. To be honest, the guy had it coming. You should have seen his file, I was reading it while Molly handled this." Ezra said, walking over to the body. "You still could have done something." I remarked. "It was for the better that she got it out of her system." Ezra said, looking over the body. I was about to say more but Ezra gave me that glare that this part of the conversation was over. If it was anyone else I wouldn't have listened, but he is the other alpha. Ezra straightened his back before turning back towards us. "Take Molly home, I'll call one of death's grim reapers to handle his soul and make sure they do something with the body to look like it was a villain attack or something. Will be easier thanks to Molly casting that spell on those other two. She looks like she could use some time to relax after all this." Ezra commanded. I knew it was useless to argue and just did as I was told. I led Molly back towards the house, maybe some fresh air will help a bit.
