Maddie woke up and frowned as and realised that she was in bed next to derek. She had remembered how they had hooked up. She looked to him as he lay asleep as she sat up from the bed and sighed
She walked over to her hand bag and looked to derek and smiled as she took her pill "your not leaving me here are you?" He asked as Maddie smiled
"Not get. Look last night but I have no idea" Maddie said as she walked over to the bed as he grabbed her waist and pulled her close and kissed her
"I know but It was great" he said as she looked to him and smirked
"It was what I needed to take my mind off of my mom. But now I have to go to work and I have to face her and so do you. You have to face her and last night you were in bed with me" Maddie said as derek nodded
"Look last night. Addison will go back to New York and we will pick up where we left off. Last night was great" derek said as bella smiled
Maddie knew how sex with derek was what she needed last night and she needed the distraction from her mother and she knew that now that she felt sick with guilt. Maddie knew that it shouldn't happened
"It won't be how it was derek" she said as he looked to her and nodded
"I know"

Maddie sat in the locker room as Riley walked in "oh so your not dead" Riley said
"Last I looked I wasn't" Maddie said as Riley looked to her
"I have been worried over you . you didn't come home and with mom. I was worried where were you" Riley asked as Maddie looked to her and smiled
"I went to clear my head" Maddie said as Riley looked to her and frowned.
Riley wasn't stupid and she knew when maddie was lying to her
"Oh you didn't Madeline Montgomery tell me you didn't" Riley said
"What why are you full naming me" Maddie asked
"You were with derek weren't you? You werent home all night because you had sex" Riley said
"Keep your voice down okay. Yes we had sex" Maddie said
"He broke your heart Maddie"
"I know and I missed him okay. I really did and I needed him" Maddie said as Riley sat next to her and pulled her into a hug and smiled
"I get that I do" Maddie said

Maddie stood in the hallway with the other interns apart from Cristina as they attended pre rounds "I want everyone focused today. With Cristina out, we're short an intern and I have a feeling it's gonna be one of those days. And Karev, see the chief by the end of the day" bailey said
"What for?" Alex said
"Do I look psychic to you? He is the chief. He asked. You go" bailey said
"What did he do now?" Meredith asked
"Maybe he gave the chief syphilis" george said as they asked Patient's room who is over crowded with interns, doctors and nurses listening to the patient as she tell a story
