Diane sighed.

"Dee, don't tell me you're going too."

The rouge angel turned around and saw the Jedi Knight look at her a certain way.

Desperation. She recognized it after Cere announced plans to go elsewhere. Merrin did the same thing, wanting to explore the galaxy, and Greez even left in hopes of opening up a cantina.

"Cal," Diane said. "I have to. Just because Archon is gone doesn't mean the war is over. Heaven is still wiping out planets for their little battles with Hell."

"Dee."

"Cal, there are other angels like me who have been working to stop this as well. I must help them."

His jaw twitched.

"I thought you were done with Heaven."

"I am," she said, noticing the hostility in his tone. "But obviously, it's not done with me."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Diane stopped packing.

"Dee."

The angel contemplated telling him. She looked at BD-1, who was watching the entire scene.

"I'm sorry, Cal. But I need to figure this out," she told him. "And as soon as I do, I will come back. I promise."

Cal looked away.

"If you need help, you know what to do," she said softly.

Cal didn't dare look back, but as soon as he heard the Mantis door, he couldn't stop the tears from rolling down his cheeks.
