La pan

Michael's POV:
Its literally been 3 minutes since this class began, and my ass is already wanting out harder than a 5 guys 1 girl scenario. There's a corpse on the table, a teacher who looks like they escaped from a mental asylum, then decided to become American psycho. Who wouldn't want to get the helllll out of here?! I realize the teacher was talking, and so I refocus myself from my thoughts over to the teacher "-My name is Thomas, but call me Mr. Thomas. I will be teaching the lead teacher teaching Theoretical Mystics." He bowed once, receiving polite applause from everyone else. "Now..." As quickly as a formula one race begins, the tension rises back up, and everyone starts paying attention. "Theoretical Mystics is a difficult class, you may get injured if you do not follow the instructions step-by-step.-" before he could continue, Umbra raised his hand. Umbra never does that, he always talks without permission. So why..- "Yes, Umbra?" "Just how injured can you get if you miss a step in Theoretical Mystics?" He said casually, yet there was a cautious tone to it, as if he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer.
Mr. Thomas stood there, silent. For a few seconds, I honestly thought he didn't have an answer, but he began by saying "Fail to follow the steps, and while most of the time you may get a mere burn, finger lost here and there, or a cut...sometimes, the consequences can be worse than death." He said in a serious yet truthful tone. Making everyone shiver slightly at the danger of failing. But that caught my interest honestly, what could be so dangerous that it could make Umbra so interested yet scared?Ran's POV:
Where is Zik? I haven't seen him ever since we entered this classroom. I look around, trying to find the person I knew so well but changed ever since he met Michael. Speaking of Michael, 'why does Zik act so cold to us, yet acting like Michael is his lifeline? It just isn't normal behavior...' I quickly snap out of my thoughts, refocusing on Mr. Thomas, who seems to still be explaining the dangers of Theoretical Mystics, yet my mind can't help but ponder where Zik went off to.
"Now! Enough with all the dangers, now I will show you how powerful Theoretical Mystics are." Mr. Thomas said in a tone that directs all the attention to him. He looks around, making sure everyone is paying attention, before a green aura surrounds him and the corpse. It was so bright that I couldn't see what was happening, and based on the confused muttering of the others, they couldn't either. After a few seconds, the light fades, and the corpse...healed? The class goes dead silent as Mr. Thomas raises his hand for silence. "Now, no one has ever brought a soul from the dead, but there are many cases in which a corpse or body can be healed to prime condition, although it is still dead." He explains, showing the fixed yet lifeless carcass.
Ok, this is getting pretty interesting for me!Umbralord's POV:
I watch in pure fascination as Mr. Thomas shows off the body. 'I wanna do that too!' I think in a excited fashion. I continue to listen as he talks "Now, you may be wondering, "How do I do that too?". Well, allow me to explain..."
"In the universe, there is a particle called "Pure Composite" that has special properties different that of protons, and even antimatter. It is not light, and not dark matter. Rather, it is a tangible and usable particle that gives any living being holding or using it a great boost in their strength, speed, or durability. Researchers call this "Pure Energy.". Most people will have a small amount of Pure Energy, which allows them to perhaps run faster than others, jump higher, or even handle G forces better than most WITHOUT training.
It is unknown how it came to being, but theories suggest that this particle is formed in small amounts within extreme conditions such as supernovas, near a black hole, or near a neutron star. People can also gain these particles naturally via exposing themselves to dangerous situations and purposely pushing themselves close to death. The closer you get to dying, the more Pure Energy you will gain. However, those who gain too much via this technique will lose the ability of critical thinking. Heavy deterioration of decision making, self-restraint, and control of their body will ensue. In other words, too much can turn one into a mindless powerhouse.
