Another week passes, and Minho can't believe it's Friday again.
That means that Minho has had to deal with Jisung and his obnoxious music for a grand total of 14 days now. 14 whole days of this torture. It's as if he's been forcefully strapped into an electric chair with leather cuffs and no means of escape.
Minho groans as he massages his temples while leaning against the checkout counter. There's a part of him desperately trying to block out the incessant bassline permeating through the walls — Ugh, it hurts. Another part of him clings to the useless bit of advice from Felix: "See the light in people!" he said. What light? Jisung is completely shrouded in darkness, thank you very much.
Minho grimaces and turns to glance over at the assortment of lilies sat by the window. Their petals droop pathetically, and they are completely unresponsive to the gentle coaxes of Minho. Poor babies. They must be suffering even more than he is.
Minho sighs. He really needs to put a stop to this nonsense.
So, Minho marches over to Spin City once again, watering pail in hand. (Jisung should be expecting him by now anyway. Unfortunately, this has become a near-daily recurrence.)
Minho knocks on the door sharply with his free hand, crossing his arms over his chest as he waits for Jisung to open the door. After a moment too long, Jisung bounces over towards the door with a bright smile.
"Hey, neighbor!" Jisung chimes. "Here to complain about the noise again?"
Minho raises a brow, unimpressed. "Why else would I be here?"
Jisung shrugs, lips curled into a grin. "Dunno', maybe you missed me?"
Minho rolls his eyes. "Yeah, sure."
"Aw, you wound me, neighbor!" Jisung clutches at his chest in feigned pain, the corners of his lips twitching into a small smirk. Minho isn't entirely sure how to feel about that.
Minho narrows his eyes. "Turn your music down. Now."
Jisung straightens up almost immediately, clearing his throat. He scratches the back of his neck sheepishly before replying, "Oh, right! Yeah, uh, sorry about that. I'll turn it down. My bad!"
Minho nods curtly before pivoting on his heel to return to Verdant Oasis. He hears Jisung call out a hasty "Bye!" from behind him, but Minho ignores it and continues marching back towards his store.
Mission accomplished. Temporarily.
