The crumpling of a tarp could be heard before it was yanked off the hood of a car, revealing Daniel Larusso and his newest student Ivan Cortez. Who were both dressed in sportswear as they planned to get some training done for Ivans recent initiation into Miyagi-Do.

"Mr. Miyagi gave you this?" Questioned the young Latino as he stepped forward and ran his hand along the yellow hood of the 1947 Ford Super De Luxe in awe.

"Yup, best birthday gift I could ever ask for." Daniel said with a reminiscent tone, feeling the wave of nostalgia hitting him like the California summer heat. "Haven't had much of a chance to take care of her the way she deserves." Daniel said with a slight sigh.

Ivan nodded before turning to face his new Sensei. "So, Mr Larusso when do I get to learn all the Miyagi-Do secrets of kickin' ass?" Asked Ivan while pretending to do chops against the air and making whoosh sounds with his mouth.

Daniel smiled at Ivans motivated demeanor. "Oh there will be plenty of time for that later, first we gotta teach you the basics."

(Execute Training montage, which totally isn't just Ivan confusingly cleaning the dojo set to the song Push it to the limit.)

A confused Ivan is seen with a paint brush in hand moving his hand horizontally back and forth as he gave the wall of the dojo a nice new fresh coat of green paint.

Ivan now even more confused was seen applying new wood pallets to the fence, using a hammer to nail the wood planks in place, though he wasn't really paying attention though as he was busy watching Robby and Sam training off to the side, they we're doing some kind of exorcise he didn't recognize.

They seemed to be stood on a circular pallet on opposite ends, he watched as they began to move in synchronize. Their movements looked like they were performing a choreographed dance, they were in perfect sync.

"Ahem." Ivan turned to see Daniel stood in front of him.

"R-Right." The Latino then returned to hammering wood pieces into the fence.

Ivan wiped the sweat from his forehead as he finished sanding down the deck, not gonna lie this wasn't what he had in mind when he decided to join Miyagi-Do, all of this was just him doing chores around the dojo.

Ivan was a patient kid but this was all starting to annoy him, maybe this was some kind of punishment for being a part of Cobra Kai... No he shouldn't think those things, Mr. Larusso isn't like that.

Robby and Sam were both telling him to keep an open mind about what he was doing but he could only do so much chores before he starts to question whether or not he's actually learning anything.

Ivan's attention was then pulled towards the dojo as he saw Daniel make his way inside. Ivan got up intending to inform Daniel that he finished the deck.

Ivan made his way up to the sliding door of the dojo and slowly slid it open and stepped inside.

(Play Miyagi-Do theme here)

He took a look around the room taking in the environment of the dojo, it was like stepping into the past of karate itself.

Ivan gazed upon the many pieces of history that Miyagi-Do had, many photos of Mr. Miyagi and his history. Ivan went to step further into the room until his foot softly kicked something.

Looking down Ivan noticed a box at his feet, he bent down and grabbed hold of what looked to be an old Japanese toy drum. Something about the item had a dwelling feeling of importance to it, like it was essential in something he has yet to know about.
