It was already late in the evening when my telephone rang. I got up from my chair and walked over, rubbing my tired eyes while picking up the phone. "Hello?", I asked tiredly. I was wide awake when I heard Lucifers voice: "Hey, Al, I hope I didn't wake you up?"
My foot tapped the floor nervously, as I felt my cannibalistic urges crash onto me yet again: "No, it's alright, I wasn't sleeping yet. Why did you call me?" Louis made a noise, clearly struggling for words: "I...uh...my boss asked me today if I think that you're the serial killer", my hand tightened around the telephone, almost crashing it and my eye twitched, "And I just wanted to tell you that I don't think you're the killer. My boss believed me, luckily. So you are no longer a suspect."
I let out a relieved sigh, before realising, that I managed to trick him. (Thinks:) "He is so head over heels, he is defending me, a possibel suspect, in front of his boss? That could be used to my advantage..."
I answered cheery: "It's very nice to hear that, Luci!~ I'm veeery glad we both trust each other like that." I heard Lucifer chuckle lightly: "I would like to meet you again, Alastor." I felt my whole body getting tense, imagining having to see him, whilst having these strong urges. "And when?", I got out of my suddenly dry mouth. "Perhaps...tomorrow night? I am really tired from work today, y'know?"
I relaxed a little, then answering as cheery as I could: "Well of course we can! Should we go to the park tomorrow? I could pick you up at 7 p.m.." (Thinks:) "Hopefully the people around there will keep me from mauling him..."
"That would be great", Louis answered happily, "See you tomorrow then!" "I'm looking forward to meeting you again, Louis~", I then hung up quickly, collapsing to my knees and gripping me hair tightly, tearing at it.
"What are you doing, Alastor?! You can't risk getting caught! What if he's only manipulating you?", I hit my own head a few times, "No...no! He isn't manipulating you, how could he? He is pathetic- a naive soul! You are in control!", I coughed heavily, my saliva dripping onto the floor, mixing with sweat on my skin.
I threw my head back and started to laugh manically: "Oh, I've been holding back for so long, I don't know how long I can do this! But I need to be around him, he calms me down and at the same time he troubles me- how is that even possible?!" I collapsed onto my back, panting heavily, the tears about this pure torture shooting out of my eyes, while all I could do was to laugh in frustration. And yet I looked foward to see him tomorrow evening.

The next evening I went over to Lucifers place, ready to ring his doorbell at 7:05 p.m.. I had already arrived six minutes ago, but I just couldn't push the tiny button next to the door of his flat. My thoughts were racing, debating if this was the right thing to do, my hands were all sweaty and my collar seemed tighter than usual. I took a deep breath, before finally ringing the doorbell. He deserved me to show up, I promised him.
Louis opened the door, his blue eyes gleeming up at me in excitement. "Hi Al!", he chimed. I smiled at his appearance, he was wearing a white suit and a pink shirt, on his head he had placed a white hat, decorated with a red ribbon. "Greetings, Louis! I see you're wearing your finest clothes?", I answered while offering him my arm.
"Ha- yes I do, indeed. But you don't look bad either~", I was a bit surprised at his flirty tone, but then quickly answered: "Why thank you!"
We proceeded to talk about how we were doing on our way to the park near Lucifers residence, soon the weird ambience between us evaporated into a pleasant conversation, with much laughter. After a few minutes I wasn't even nervous anymore about Louis still holding my arm, it felt rather right.
When we finally arrived, we walked up to Lucifers favourite bench and sat down, facing the colourful sundown. For a few minutes, we stayed silent, just enjoying this overwhelming view and each others company. The sun seemed do drown in Lake Pontchartrain, drawing a pinkish path all the way to the shore. Around us, the lights were turning on, a light, warm summer-breeze was playing with the leaves of the trees above our love-scrambled heads. If it hadn't been us two lovefools who didn't quite admit they were in love, this would have been a perfect moment.
As if Louis had read my thoughts, he asked: "So...Al, what exactly are we?" I turned my head over to him, shrugging lightly: "I don't know, to be honest. But I know that I am feeling something for you, Louis." The blonde man took a deep breath, before admitting: "Alastor, I think I fell in love with you."
My heart skipped a beat, hearing this. I must've stared down at Louis for too long, because he blushed and looked the other way, stuttering: "Well-uhm, you don't have to feel like I do- are you? I...", I could hear him sigh deeply, "It's okay if you don't feel the same way, even if you don't want to see me ever again. I know those are...heavy words, especially coming from a man-", he was interrupted by me grabbing his chin, turning his face over to myself again. I hesitated no longer and kissed him.
Louis hugged me tightly while we were kissing passionatly, when we pulled away, we still had our arms around each other. I looked down into those beautiful, blue eyes and saw a tear of relief forming in Lucifers left eye. I gently rose my hand to his face and catched it, whispered: "Don't cry, Louis. There's no reason for it..."
Louis laughed, still very relieved I didn't reject him: "It's just that I didn't expect my emotions to finally be understood and returned. Eversince I got to know you, I realised how much we have in common, it never happened to me before", he smiled up at me amourously, "I love you so much, Al~"
I gently stroked his reddish cheek and answered calmly: "I know what you mean, mon cher~" Louis chuckled at the pet name, before answering seductively: "Je t'aime aussi, mon amour~". I felt myself lightly blushing at him speaking french and Louis chuckled at this, teasing: "Oh look at you, being flustered by me speaking six words in french!~".
I snapped back, rather embarrassed: "I'm not flustered!" Louis poked my chest, his voice now challenging: "Oh? But you are, mon ange~". I tried to look away when blushing again, but failed. Louis laughed amused: "Told ya!" I poked his side and he squeaked surprised at the tingling sensation: "Hey!"
I smiled down at him, satisfied that I could startle him, after he ebarrassed me. Louis chuckled, then turned his head over to the sundown once again. I could see him fidgeting nervously, debating if he sould lean on my shoulder. I sighed and rolled my eyes at him, as if he didn't just declare me his love and then teased me, putting my arm around him and pulling him close.
Louis let out a happy sigh, before leaning his head onto my shoulder. I leaned me head on his and together we watched the sun drown in the water. The people passing didn't matter to us, not their strange looks or their uncomfortable attempts to ignore us.
This was our moment, the world didn't matter.
