MAGGIE AND I FINISH PACKING and closing up the office while the boys change in the locker room. avery came in to help us clean, but instead of helping she was sat in the desk chair complaining about the bet.

"halle, i told you we should've made the bet more difficult." avery groaned, looking up dog shelters near us.

"i seriously didn't think they were going to beat ohio state last week," i defend, putting away some more boxes. "i wouldn't have made it three games if ohio wasn't on the schedule."

"we honestly just got lucky at that game." maggie stated, wiping down the counters.

we finished cleaning and closing down in silence until it was time to grab our things and meet up with the boys outside.

"we'll never hear the end of this." avery groans, preparing to be taunted by the boys.

their roommates exited the locker room, hair still wet from their showers and their bags filled with gear over their shoulders. luke saw me and immediately wrapped me into a hug.

"i don't care about the bet right now but did you see my goal out there?" luke exclaimed, getting excited like a kid.

"i did see it lukey, good job!" i reply, pulling away from the hug and ruffling his hair. he placed a kiss on my cheek.

"alright enough of this pda crap," dylan interrupted, coming in between luke and i. "we have a puppy to adopt!"

"yay puppy!" rutger squeals, jumping up and down. ethan and luca shook their heads at how ridiculous he was.

"did you find a shelter like i told you?" luke asked, turning back towards me, a sparkle of excitement in his eyes.

"yeah," i turn to maggie. "maggie and i found one that's about twenty minutes away."

"sweet let's go!" ethan announces, making his way to the door.

"wait i don't think it's a good idea for all nine of us to go," avery stops him. "you're gonna scare the puppy with how huge you guys are."

"so you're calling me huge huh?" mark smirks. avery slaps his arm in return.

"no i agree with her for once," luca speaks. "i say dylan, ethan, luke, maggie, halle should go, because duker and eddie were the ones who made the proposal, and halle and luke are mom and dad!"

"and maggie found the shelter so makes sense i guess." dylan added on, slinging his arm around the blonde girl casually.

"what should the rest of us do then?" luca asks, waving his hands.

"buy some food, toys, a collar and a bed and then set up the house, duh!" avery says like it was common sense.

"DOES THAT MEAN WE GET TO PICK THE NAME IF WE BUY THE COLLAR!?" mark screams. we all cover our ears.

"that's a group decision actually!" ethan shoots back.

"ok well let's go because the shelter closes soon," i round everyone up and head outside. "we'll see the rest of you guys later!"
