"Holy shit that took fucking forever." Angel says quite loudly as he sits at the bar. Husk's ears fold down from the unexpected noise while everyone else in the lobby turns to look at Angel.

Charlie leans over the arm of the sofa. "What happened?" She asked curiously as Vaggie wraps her arm around Charlie's waist so she doesn't lean over too much.

He flips his phone around for her to see, even though she can't make much out due to their distance. She tilts her head to the side causing Angel to start explaining.

"Y'know the Vee's obviously but what you probably don't know is how much Valerie and Vox have been flirting with each other over the years. Painful to watch." He sighs recalling all the moments he saw.

"Well this little photo is making me think they finally started dating. They were always close but never this damn close. At least not in public." He mutters the last part as he thinks.

Alastor's ears perk up at this new revelation as his smile falters ever so slightly. Husk gives Angel a disbelieving look, raising a brow at his words. "You really think those two are dating?" His tone is tinged with skepticism, as if he can't imagine the two of them as a couple.

Vaggie chimes in, her brows creasing slightly in confusion. "Well, it sure looks like they're pretty cozy in that picture." This makes Alastor even more curious about the picture but there's no way he'd let the rest of the group know. None of them even know the events between him and the Vee's to begin with, especially not with Valerie.

"Maybe they're just really close friends?" Charlie chimes in, her tone hopeful as she tries to provide a more innocent explanation. Vaggie snorts in disagreement. "Yeah, because friends totally cuddle like that all the time."

As everyone continues to ponder over Vox and Valerie Alastor's tail begins to flick back and forth in annoyance. Angel eventually notices the slight change in his demeanor.

"What's your thoughts on the two of them strawberry pimp? We all know you have it out with Vox." He gives Angel a small smile, the edge in it barely masked.

"Oh, I could go on about all the reasons I dislike the man." He leans in close, his voice low so the others can't easily overhear. "But let's just say that Vox has always rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention he's always seemed far too interested in Valerie."

Angel's eyes widened. "Hold up, you know her more than you're trying to let on aren't you?" Alastor's smile tightens slightly at Angel's question. He decides to play dumb, though it's obvious he knows exactly what Angel is referring to.

"What makes you think that?" he asks, feigning innocence. Everyone looks between Angel and Alastor as they have their conversation. "I dunno, maybe cause of the fact you were aware of the fact Vox has always been interested in her."

He keeps his poker face up, his smile not wavering in the slightest. "Oh, the fact that the man is completely enamored by the sight of her?" He chuckles softly, his eyes glinting with a hint of amusement. "Hard to miss it, really. The man's practically drooling over her."

Angel narrows his eyes as he observes Alastor for a moment. Alastor can feel the intensity of the stare, but he refuses to back down. He keeps up his confident demeanour, his eyes locking with Angel's in a silent challenge. A tense silence blankets the room as the two remain locked in an unspoken power play.

"I'm getting the sense you were in a relationship with Valerie. Probably fucked at some point since you're too invested into the conversation about her and Vox." Angel finally says breaking the silence.

A dark glint flashes in his eyes, a sign that Angel's words have hit a nerve. His smile tightens further as he weighs his options. He could either acknowledge the truth or continue to deny it.

He decides to play along with Angel's theory. "You're quite observant," he remarks, his voice laced with a hint of admiration. "Yes, Valerie and I were in a relationship once. Long ago." He chuckles softly, the sound tinged with bitterness.

Angel Dust lets out a loud cheer raising his arms up in the air. "Pour me a drink cause of how much I killed that interrogation." He continues to celebrate the fact he was able to get under Alastor's skin.

Alastor's smile turns more strained as he rolls his eyes at Angel's reaction. "Yes, congratulations on your little triumph," he says dryly. "Although I must say, I find it amusing that you're getting so excited about something that happened decades ago."

Husk hands Angel a drink to stop him from flailing his arms around and he takes a sip before answering. "I'm excited cause now I want to know all the deets."

Alastor raises a brow at Angel's curiosity, a mixture of annoyance and amusement flickering in his eyes. "Deets," he says with a scoff. "What is there to discuss, really? It wasn't anything special." He leans back against the wall he was standing against, his demeanor composed and aloof. "Valerie and I dated. We broke up. The end."

"Don't forget about when you guys fucked at some point." Angel says, wiggling his eyebrows. The hint of a smile on Alastor's face falters for a fraction of a second, his smile faltering at Angel's crude remark.

A tinge of pink colors his cheeks, his composure momentarily shaken. He crosses his arms over his chest, trying to brush off the comment. "That is irrelevant, Angel. You're focusing on frivolous details."

The rest of them started asking questions assuming Alastor would answer them but as more and more questions got thrown at him he tail began to flick more. "I am not sure why you all are so curious about this little detail of my life but I will not be indulging your curiosities."

Alastor's patience is beginning to wear thin. He gives everyone a tight-lipped smile, his expression strained. "As enjoyable as this little interview has been, I think I've had enough." He stands up, adjusting his bowtie and turning to go. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have far more pressing matters to attend to."

As he disappears back to his room he takes a seat in front of his radio set up trying to calm down his growing temper. He sits in the familiar setting of his personal space, his fingers absentmindedly fiddling with the equipment.

He tries to calm his thoughts, but his mind keeps wandering back to the earlier discussion about Valerie and Vox. The memory of their relationship stirs up a mix of emotions within him; a concoction of anger, regret, and a hint of longing.
