⚠️PANIC ATTACK/MENTAL BREAKDOWN⚠️

Mae Malfoy was crying.

After what she had witnessed, she couldn't hold it in anymore.

She ran into her room, fell on her knees, and cried like there was no tomorrow.

That could be possible.

No tomorrow.

You never know.

Mae Malfoy was crying so hard that it was hearable if you were walking up to the girl's dormitory.

"Why?" Was what she whispered to herself over and over.

Her breathing got heavy.

She couldn't breathe, she couldn't see, she couldn't think, she couldn't talk, hell, she couldn't do anything besides crying.

While Mae Malfoy was having a serious panic attack, everyone was partying.

Draco was having the best time of his life. I mean it was also his birthday so you couldn't blame him.

Matteo looked around the room filled with people. He could swear that he saw Mae dancing right beside him.

But no. No one was beside him dancing. Certainly not Mae.

The only people he could see were Draco and Pansy snogging in the corner.

Matteo pushed through the crowd and made his way to Draco. He pushed him off Pansy.

"Where's Mae?" He shouted at the top of his lungs so he could hear it over the music.

"Huh?"

"Where is Mae?!"

"I don't know!"

Matteo stared at him in disbelief before rolling his eyes and walking up to the girl's dormitory.

He wanted to ask Theodore if he had seen her but he wasn't in sight.

Theodore would know where she was.

As he made his way up, the music got quieter while Mae's crying got louder.

As soon as Matteo realized it was Mae who was crying he ran up the stairs.

Matteo opened the door with ease since it wasn't locked or anything.

When he saw his baby sister on the floor, crying her eyes out, trying to breathe, his heart shattered.

Sure, she wasn't blood related but Mae was Matteo's little sister. He loved her to death.

Matteo immediately ran to Mae. He sat on the floor next to her and pulled her on his lap.

Matteo gently held Mae in his arms, his hands stroking her back soothingly as he spoke gentle reassurances in her ear.

He could feel her trembling as she gasped for breath, her body racked with tremors as he held her body close.

"It's going to be okay," he murmured, his voice was low and steady.

"I'm here, and I'll stay with you until it passes." He continued to hold her gently, whispering comforting words and offering physical reassurance.

He didn't exactly enjoy physical touch but for her he was doing his best, trying to ease her fear and bring her back to a place of peace.

He let her cry on him.
