Fungus

Brainy POV

On the next day, after breakfast, we left the village for the Forbidden Forest. We decided to split up as soon as we are there.

After a while of walking, we finally reach a tall brick wall that was what stood between us and the Forbidden Forest.

"So how do we go through?" John Dory asked. "There's no door,"

"There's a gap at the base of the wall in front of us," I said. "But before we do so, we need a map so that we don't get lost," I reach into my bag, pull out two pieces of paper, then set them on the ground.

"Snappy, would you kindly come out and draw the picture of the map we took back at the lair a few days ago?" I asked.

"Who's Snappy?" Viva asked. Snappy, my Ladybug, came out of my bag, jumped to the ground, and then drew a detailed map on a piece of paper, like a printer.

"That's my ladybug pet, Snappy," I said. "He acts like a camera and a printer for me,"

"He's cute," Poppy said as Snappy finishes with the map. He then does the same on the other. Once he was done, he hopped back into my bag. I picked up both maps and handed one of them to Poppy.

"According to the map, As for us, the gas we were looking for come through the cave inhabited by a giant spider that breaths the gas," I said. "As for us, the fungus should be at the base of one of these trees. Most likely a big one,"

"Looks like we're going to get ourselves in a more deadly situation," Viva said.

"Well, if we need to stop them from killing all of us, then that's a risk I'm willing to take," Branch said. I reach into my bag and pull out two Smurf Talkies. I handed one of them to Hefty.

"This is how we communicate with each other if we are in danger," I said. "We can't get lost without these, so make sure you don't loose them okay?"

Poppy and Hefty nodded. As soon as we walked through the wall, we split up. Smurfette, Clay, Floyd, Spruce, and I went west while Hefty, Clumsy, Poppy, Branch, John Dory, and Viva went east.

While we were walking, Smurfette said, "So you trolls are from another dimension and are part of a band, right?"

"That's right," Spruce said

"Maybe when this is all over, before we open a portal back to your dimension, you could perhaps perform for us?" Smurfette asked.

"Yeah, the song we hear here is mostly from Harmony Smurf," I said. "He mostly plays the Saxophone,"

"We would love to perform for you," Clay said. "The songs. we performed before we split up was all written by John Dory. He's the oldest, so he's our leader."

"He's the reason why we split up in the first place," Floyd said. "Well, except for me and Branch. I had to leave because I was following my heart,"

"Sounds like you've been through a lot," I said. "But trust me, we've gone through worse,"

"Since last time, we tend to be stronger and faster," Smurfette said. 

"Are we on the right track?" Spruce asked.

"Yeah," I said. "If we follow this path, we'll be right on course," I said, but then stopped talking. When I said 'Right on course,' Someone else was saying it.

"Why did you stop?" Clay asked. 

"Guys," I said. "I don't think we're alone," the words the continued as we walked.

"Soon enough, we'll be at the end of our rainbow," Huh. The voice seemed familiar.

We looked to our left. We saw Gargamel walking next to us just a tree away with Monty and Azreal.

"Gargamel?!" We yelled. He turned to see us.

"Smurfs and Trolls?" He snarled. "I knew you know about our plan! Boys, why didn't you stop that smurf?"

Monty squawked something at him.

"Whatever," Gargamel said. "I'll destroy you myself!" He then stepped through the trees toward the path we were on.

"Run!" I yelled. We started to run, with Gargamel Azreal, and Monty on our tail.

"Their gaining on us!" Smurfette yelled. "Run faster!"

"Why are our legs so short?" Floyd asked.

"The reason why Gargamel's gaining on us is because he has longer legs," I said. As we run, Gargamel tried to stomp on us. Luckily, we managed to dodge them.

"How do we defeat them?" Spruce asked, dodging Monty, who was flying straight at us,

"By using these!" I said holding up three freeze balls. "I created them by using Gargamel's formula. Except that I made them so that the would last longer," I threw all three of them at Monty, Azreal, and Gargamel, and covered them in mist. We stopped running and turned around.

Monty, Azreal, and Gargamel were encased in green ice.

"I'll get you next time!" Gargamel yelled in a muffled voiced. "I have my word, you'll pay for this,"

"Yeah, right," Clay said. "You're not going to destroy us," "Oh, boys. Would anyone be interested in knowing that we're in sight of a tall tree?" Smurfette asked.

"A tall tree?" Spruce asked. Smurfette pointed to something in front of us. It was a tre tat was bigger than any other tree in the forest. In front of it was a group of fungus that looked different.

We walked towards it."Huh," I said. "This fungus aren't any other I've seen before. Do you think this is what we are looking for? What helps Gargamel, Velvet, Veneer, Monty, and Azreal complete the spell?"

"I think so," Floyd said. "It seems rare." I reach out, plucked all of it, and pushed them inside a bottle," As I seal it closed, I said, "Once we stop them, Papa Smurf will definitely used this for a potion,"

"Agreed," Smurfette said. Suddenly, I felt something Vivrating in my bag. I opened it, picked up the Smurf Talkie. It seemed to be shaking.

The I heard Hefty's voice.

"Guys, where are you? We need help! Velvet and Veneer are here and we're being attacked bythe Giant spider!"
