Highschool graduation was a vivid memory living in Song Mingi's mind rent free.

Once the door of the Art room slid open, Sunhee saw Mingi's head peeked in. The cautious face he made looked so much like an agent on mission. If she hadn't been stuck in a down mood, a laugh would have left her mouth already.

"Only me here," the girl tried to swallow the quiver in her voice as she spoke. "Why you look for me?"

"I fear someone turns into a cry baby if I leave her alone." No hint of sarcasm, he handed over a big bouquet for her to take. His eyes fixed on her slightly puffy, red ones.

She must have cried.

How could she not shed tears over the fact that her besties would move to other cities (even countries) for higher education?

The bouquet was Sunhee's (every graduated student received a congratulated bouquet from the student council) but after the whole class took photos, she just left it on her desk and disappeared. Admist the chaos of farewells, crying, shouting, chatting and promising (graduation day, you know), no one had time to acknowledge her absence until it was time to return the graduation gowns. The fact that her name was called but she still didn't show up made Mingi feel the need to excuse himself from his gang and went search for her.

"I'm not!" she denied as quickly as how she was betrayed by her own sniff. "It's... Sadness's fault."

Mingi was taken aback. He didn't expect she brought it up. It had been a week since they went to watch Inside Out together and let's say Lee Sunhee was completely obsessed with it. On one hand, he wanted to laugh but refrained real quick. On the other hand, he felt sorry for not being able to console her.

The passing years, his crush on her was simply an admiration, a heart-fluttering kind of feeling. She was always ahead of him. She was so cool. And he even found summer cool because of her.

But this day manifested something else. He realised that Sunhee - like all human being out there - had such frail moments too. Sounds corny but he wanted to be a protector, to take all her tears and turn them into a smile even if it cost the universe.

He hoped to make things less difficult for her.

"Your friends are waiting," the boy said slowly yet assuringly, hand gestured her to come with him out of the Art room. "I'll take lots of photos for you guys."

"With that skill of yours?"

"I'll try my best okay?!"

Keeping the bouquet in one arm, her usual eyesmile (which got him so smitten) appeared as she looped her free arm around his. The pair made way back to their classroom.

"Thanks Song," she uttered, looking up at Mingi, whom she could not see his face properly if she didn't crane her neck.

A few beats of silence passed until Mingi's voice rang between them.

"Lee, what are you going to do when you figure out what you want to do?"

"Then go for it." was all she said.

Ever so subtly, he turned to look down at her, mind racing with just one and only thought.

That's it! I will confess.
