Chapter 25: I Think

*knock* *knock*

The door of her office opens the same time she lifted her head to see the person who knocked on her door. It was Jungkook peaking his head with a smile on his face.

"Are you done?" He asked.

Lisa gazes her eyes at the digital clock on her table wondering about the time. It was five in the afternoon but felt like it hadn't been since they ate their lunch with all the stressful reports from left to right.

"Gosh," She sighed, "It's five already?"

Jungkook chuckled, he knows it all too well, to have a lot ready but isn't immediately needed, "I know, I set an alarm to remind myself of the time,"

"Right, we're going to make some kimchi," Lisa excitedly packed up everything. She already finished all immediate documents so it's no worry. She took her bag walked towards the door after and went to the groceries with him before going back to Cheon Seong— Jungkook's apartment.

How do you make a kimchi? Start by chopping the cabbage and soaking it in a saltwater brine for a few hours to soften the leaves and draw out excess moisture. Meanwhile, prepare a spice paste by blending garlic, ginger, Korean red pepper flakes, fish sauce, sugar, and salted shrimp for added flavor. After rinsing the cabbage to remove excess salt, then combine it with the spice paste, along with julienned radish and green onions. Ensure the mixture is thoroughly even distributed spices.

It is a pretty simple dish but they love it very well. Although it is a simple process making a huge batch is pretty tiring.

"Fuck," Jungkook cursed, "Why are we making a lot Li, it's not even winter yet!" stressing out from mixing the gigantic napa cabbages to remove the salt water.

"I want to give some to the executives, they love my kimchi so much!" Lisa said after incorporating all of the ingredients together while waiting for Jungkook to finish rinsing the cabbages in a large bucket full of salt water in the dirty kitchen outside his apartment. He piled all rinsed cabbages onto another large bucket deciding to just pour out the salt water to the plants beside the door going back to his kitchen.

The two are shouting at their conversation to hear each other.

"Aigoo do you usually make a lot? This is a lot of work, I thought we were gonna make just one batch!" Jungkook nagged outside while rinsing the last cabbage, he could feel the coldness of the forming fall while he was already drenched from the splashes of water.

Lisa removed the gloves she had on after she incorporated all the ingredients into a big bucket inside his apartment, "That amount is enough until November, I want to give Chaeyoung and Eunwoo as well," "And since you presented to make kimchi why not make a lot!"

"Aigoo! This is labor abuse!" "I need a raise!" Jungkook squeezed the last cabbage before putting it on top of the finished bucket. "I'm finished!"

Contemplating if he should just pour the water onto the plant, he just gets on with it since he can't remember when was the last time he watered the plants outside.

He lifted the large bucket from the ground and just as he was about to dump the saltwater on the plant next to the door, he saw Lisa come out from the house.

"You— *splash*

"Lisa!"

Jungkook was bewildered when Lisa suddenly came out of the door at the same time he threw the water — soaking her. "Oh fuck! I'm sorry Lisa!"
