introduction

In the beginning, there was no universe—only the land and God. They were born together, intertwined in existence, with God as the protector and steward of this nascent realm. Unlike the omnipotent deities of other tales, this God was a being of immense power but also one of learning and growth. The land of Mythraea, with its vast expanses and hidden depths, provided a canvas for His creations.

God felt the pangs of loneliness and sought to create companions to share His world. He began by crafting beings from the very essence of the land, and thus, the first of His creations were born: the Druids.

The Druids

The Druids were fashioned from the clay and flora of the land, infused with magic and life. They were guardians of nature, attuned to the rhythms of the earth and its creatures. Druids possessed profound knowledge of the natural world, able to heal with a touch and commune with animals and plants. They were emotional beings, providing the companionship and support God craved.

However, the Druids were not perfect. Their deep connection to nature made them vulnerable to its cycles. They could be overly emotional, swayed by the changing seasons and the plight of the flora and fauna they so dearly loved. Their magic, while powerful, was tied to the land and limited by its boundaries.

The Merfolk

Seeking to explore and fill the vast, empty seas, God descended into the ocean's depths and created the Merfolk. These beings were an improvement over the Druids, crafted with the lessons learned from His first creations. The Merfolk were sleek and agile, able to navigate the waters with grace and speed. They were protectors of the sea, their songs echoing through the deep, guiding and guarding the marine life.

The Merfolk had strengths that surpassed those of the Druids. They could withstand the pressures of the deep and possessed an innate understanding of the ocean's currents and moods. Their magic allowed them to manipulate water and communicate with sea creatures. Yet, they too had their limitations. The Merfolk were bound to the sea, unable to survive on land for extended periods. Their isolation in the ocean made them less emotionally connected to the land and its beings.

The Angels

God's journey then took Him to the skies, where He created His third and most perfect beings: the Angels. Drawing from the lessons of the Druids and Merfolk, He crafted the Angels with great care, imbuing them with unmatched power and purity. The Angels were the protectors of the sky, their radiant wings allowing them to soar above the land, vigilant and ever-watchful.

Angels were endowed with immense strength and magical abilities far surpassing those of the Druids and Merfolk. They could control the elements of the air, heal wounds with a mere touch, and see across vast distances. They were immortal, their beauty and power unmatched.

However, their perfection bred arrogance. The Angels knew they were God's finest creation, and their pride became their greatest flaw. They looked down upon the other beings, considering themselves superior and unassailable. This arrogance would sow the seeds of future discord.

Conclusion

In this nascent world of Mythraea, God's creations roamed and thrived, each with their unique strengths and weaknesses. The Druids, Merfolk, and Angels formed the foundation of a land that was rich and diverse, but also fraught with potential conflict. God continued to watch over His creations, learning from each new being He brought into existence, unaware of the trials and tribulations that lay ahead in the unfolding saga of Mythraea.
