In the early days after the creation of humans, orcs, demons, and elves, Mythraea was a land in transition. The Druids, ever wise and nurturing, guided these new beings, providing shelter and protection. They taught them the ways of the land, fostering a deep respect for nature and its magic.
As the years passed, the populations of each species grew. This led to a natural separation, with each group focusing more on their own kind. The humans, with their ingenuity and ambition, began forming small communities. The orcs, driven by strength and a desire for dominance, gathered into powerful tribes. The demons, with their intense emotions and hunger for power, formed tight-knit clans. The elves, wise and noble, established serene settlements deep within the forests.
This gradual separation laid the groundwork for the eventual formation of the four kingdoms. Initially, these were simple groupings of creatures of the same species, united by shared traits and goals. Over time, as populations grew and structures became more complex, these groups evolved into full-fledged kingdoms.
In the human realm, leadership was passed down through lineage, with the king viewed as the descendant of the first humans. This created a sense of continuity and tradition but also led to power struggles and corruption. Among the orcs, leadership was determined by strength and prowess in battle. The strongest warrior led, and this created a brutal but effective hierarchy. The demons valued power and cunning, with leadership often changing through fierce competition and ruthless ambition. The elves, valuing wisdom and merit, chose their leaders based on worthiness and achievements.
The formation of these kingdoms had profound effects on the land. To sustain their growing populations, each kingdom began to exhaust the land's resources. Forests were cut down, rivers were diverted, and the natural balance maintained by the Druids was disrupted. This exploitation weakened the magical energy that once flowed freely through Mythraea, further harming the land.
The division of the land into separate kingdoms also disrupted the flow of magic. The once unified magical forest, sustained by the angelic core at its center, was now fragmented. Each kingdom sought to control its own resources and magic, creating barriers that hindered the natural flow of energy. This division weakened the forest and the Druids who protected it. The Druids' hidden village, powered by their deep connection to forest magic, struggled as the land around them suffered.
Arrogance and a sense of superiority grew among the different species. Each kingdom began to see itself as the rightful ruler of Mythraea, fueling arguments and conflicts. Differences in values and ways of thinking made it difficult to find common ground. Racism and prejudice took root, further dividing the kingdoms and their people.
In an attempt to maintain peace, the Druids established a council where representatives from each species could meet and discuss their issues. However, as the kingdoms grew stronger, they began to resent the Druids' influence. Believing they no longer needed guidance, the leaders of the kingdoms decided to manage their own affairs. Without the Druids' wisdom to mediate, the council became a battleground of egos and conflicting interests.
The tensions eventually boiled over, leading to the first great war. What began as heated arguments in the council chambers spilled into open conflict. Fueled by arrogance, prejudice, and a refusal to compromise, the kingdoms clashed in a brutal war. Each species saw the others as threats to their existence and believed that only through domination could they secure their future.
The war raged on for ages, becoming a cycle of violence and retribution. Generations grew up knowing only conflict, each side convinced of its own righteousness and the other's guilt. The true reasons for the war were forgotten, replaced by a deep-seated hatred and a desire for vengeance.
Throughout this tumultuous era, an enigmatic figure watched silently from the shadows. Hearts, an angel of curiosity, observed the creation and the unfolding chaos with a mix of fascination and confusion. Ever since the beginning, Hearts had been watching, trying to understand why God had created these creatures and what purpose they served in the grand design.
As the war continued to ravage Mythraea, Hearts' curiosity grew. He wondered if there was a way to bring peace and harmony to the land, or if the creatures were doomed to destroy themselves. His questions and the role he would play in the unfolding events would soon come to light, shaping the future of Mythraea in ways they could never imagine.
