There was an ancient land called Gleotopia, where mythical creatures and humans lived in the same world, but not in harmony. They have been at war for centuries, and never resolved it. The lower and middle class were always killed at the annual time every year, but the knights always tried to save and protect them. The dragons were preparing for the event, to see who'll go and get their feast.

"So, the reason I have called upon all of the dragons to see who will go this year. It can't be me, since I've retired after 3,000 years of hunting food for us. It has to be the top who has been trained to get the humans for our feast." Samuel announced. He was the leader of the dragons, kept everything in line, and made sure everyone followed the laws. Everyone shouted to be the one to get them their feast, from the left to the right.

"Shush! I have decided. The special dragon who shall get our feast is my daughter, Blaze." Samuel said. He moved to the side to reveal his daughter. Everyone was surprised and muttered that he chose his daughter and if she was ready for this.

"Me? Why father? I've only been training for 600 years. Why not Tomas? He's been training for 1,000 years. He has more experience than I do."

"Uhh, no I don't. The only experience I have is how to fly and shape-shift." Tomas replied. He was Blaze's older brother, who barely did anything for his family.

"You're brother's not worthy enough to fetch us a feast. He'll be too busy getting his own," Samuel answered Blaze's question "Plus, he's so full of himself. He's such a disappointment. You, on the other claw. You listen, you are fierce, you care for others. You're the perfect one to fetch us the feast." Tomas heard the whole thing, and felt upset to be the disappointment in the family, but he brushed it off and acted like he didn't care.

"So, will you help your whole clan and family to get us food," Samuel asked her "It's fine if you don't want to. I could always find someone else to do it."

"Wait! I'll... I'll do it" Blaze said, changing her mind.

"Good. You will leave tomorrow at exactly 10 AM. Make sure you have protection, gear, bring someone with you in case the humans get a little bit out of hand, and never let your guard down. Always have your walls up." Samuel instructed her. He has been doing those instructions to make sure the humans were ripe, fresh, and to have a minimum amount of scars on him.

"Yes father. I promise I won't disappoint you." Blaze said, grabbing her materials and everything she needed. Samuel told everyone to head back to what they were doing and wish Blaze the best of luck. Blaze left the room, leaving with Tomas and Samuel.

"Yes father. I promise I won't disappoint you," He said in a mocking tone "When will I ever be the one who gets the damn food?" Tomas told his father, seeming to be jealous of the whole thing.

"When you finally learn to be a good son, care for the family, not be so full of yourself, and stop being a brat. Then you'll go get us food."

" 'Stop being full of myself?' 'Care for the family?' 'Be a good son?' – Do you not hear yourself!?" Tomas shouted.

"Yes I do. Now watch that tone."

"No! I've cared for this family! I have loved this family for almost my whole life! You are the one who didn't love me the moment I came here! You manipulative, toxic, son of a!– " Samuel slapped him to make him stop talking.

"Watch your fucking mouth. You will never be anything more than a child, a mistake, the lower life-being in this family. You will never accomplish anything in life. Ever. Now, if you ever try to think that you have the upper claw," Samuel stayed silent for a few moments, then grabbed Tomas by the shirt. "I will make your pathetic life a living goddamn hell, making you wish you'd never been born, to feel this pain, to let you know that you're a curse that makes everyone's lives worse. Do you understand me?" He said in dragon tongue, very irritated and threatening.

"Y-yes father..." Tomas said in fear. He doesn't want to deal with his bullshit anymore, he's just praying for him to stop.

"Good, now clean yourself up, and wish your sister good luck." Samuel said while throwing him to the floor, he then left. Tomas had a red mark on his face and a small bloody nose. He got up, cleaned himself up, went to wish his sister good luck, and left to his room.
