The day of the feast was today, and I was getting ready. My friend, Carmilla, was the one I chose to come with me.She was playing around with her element, magic; seeing into the future from seconds from now. She never took anything serious, but knew when to. Us dragons had different types of elements that we possessed.

"Your dad's going to ask you and me if we're ready," She says. My dad then knocks on my door and says if me and her are ready "Call it!"

"Yes father, we're almost ready! Just putting my hair up! Carm, can you make a rope for me?" I asked. She then makes a rope from her magic, and passes it to me.

"Here you go."

"Thanks." I grabbed it and put my hair up to a bun. Simple, but quick. I told my father that he could come in, he walked up to me, next to the mirror, and laid his head on my shoulder.

"My little dragon, all grown up. Finally getting us food." He said, tearing up.

"What about me? I'm right here, y'know?" Carmilla joined in, looking slightly pissed that my father forgot about her.

"Ahh, yes. You, um...thank you for volunteering to help my daughter at the battle, Carmilla." He gave. He never understood why I was friends with her, always telling me to cut her off because she's not thoughtful, unlike him.  But I'm always telling him it's the similarities that we have. But he never listens.

"But, are you ready? It's almost time, you have at least a minute." He asked. There's always a time limit when getting ready, he says that it gets overwhelming, but it's pretty chill for me.

"Yes, we're both ready. Want us to meet at the departure?" I replied. He nods, then leaves the room.

"I think your dad doesn't like me, how do you live with him?" Carmilla chimed in. I chuckled at her statement of how my father doesn't like her as I walked up to her to sit next to her on the couch.

"I really don't know, I just do. I've been living with him for at least a million years, so there's that. But, let's go. Are you ready?" I asked her. We both got up from the couch, she made a portal to the departure.

"More than ever, red-head." She said, we both walked to the portal and arrived at the departure. Everyone that we knew was there, cheering us on. My family clan was there, Tomas just glared at me, looking extremely upset. He made a face at me, so I made one back. He then just looked away. When we reached the line to depart, someone told us that before we needed to leave, we needed to shape-shift into our dragon form for flight. And so we did, Carmilla was a Dark Purple while I was a Blood Red.We prepared ourselves for lift-off, not long later, we heard the sirens and flew off. The trip took at least 5-10 minutes; it wasn't long. Well, for dragons and phoenixes and whatnot at least. We then saw the village, I asked Carmila if we would swoop in now. She says no; we should wait until we're right above them, not in front of them. She had more experience than me, she had gone to battle 10 times. When we were right above it, she then flies down, swoops in, flies back up to me and tells me that we have knights ready for us.

"Knights? The ones that protect them?" I asked.

"Yep. The assholes always save some of the humans so that 'they could have a life to live on!' Or something. But the keyword is some, so don't be afraid to attack them too. They always try so hard to protect others while they can't protect themselves!" She answered with a laugh.

"Should we go now? I think they had enough time waiting for us." I questioned her, I was slightly impatient and wanted to hurry up, due to this being my first time.

"Now we go." She grinned. We both fly down and swinged at the knights and most of them tried to attack us, all swung their swords and held up their shields. We then flew to the village to at least attack some of the villagers for the feast, the knights then ran inside to protect them. The fucking imbeciles.
