Suman's POV:

I walked confidently down the quiet corridor, heading straight for the elevator. My plan was simple, press the button, get inside, and enjoy a peaceful, uninterrupted ride down. But life, as usual, had other plans.

As soon as I touched the button, a guy appeared out of nowhere, striding toward the elevator. Tall, sharp features, and dressed in a black suit. He looked every bit the confident, intimidating type who people probably moved aside for without a second thought.

I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. He shifted uncomfortably, standing a little too far from me, his gaze firmly fixed on the elevator door like he was willing it to open faster. His posture was straight, but his hands fidgeted slightly,

I bit back a smile. Was this guy... nervous? I mean wow...

To test my theory, I took a casual step to the side, just a little closer. His eyes flickered toward me briefly, before snapping back to the door. He cleared his throat, straightened his tie, and shifted even further away.

When the elevator dinged and the doors opened, he practically leaped inside. I followed, trying not to laugh at how awkwardly he avoided looking in my direction. The two of us stood there in silence, the hum of the elevator the only sound.

I couldn't resist anymore. "In a hurry?" I asked, keeping my tone light.

He stiffened, glancing at me quickly before mumbling, "No."

I raised an eyebrow. His answer was so short it felt like he was terrified I might continue the conversation.

"Nice suit," I added, because why not?

He nodded slightly, muttering, "Thanks," but he didn't make eye contact.

" Your name ? " A gave a pretty smile and asked him for his name.

" Nico " He frowned a bit before answering.

At that point, I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing.

The elevator dinged softly, the doors sliding open-but my attention wasn't on that. Nope, it was still on the tall, awkward guy beside me, who looked like he was wishing for the floor to swallow him whole. I was trying not to smirk when suddenly, like a thunderstorm crashing into my peaceful day, he appeared.

Yep, the walking nightmare, Aka my boss.

There he stood, arms crossed, glaring at me with that signature scowl that could rival a grumpy cat. His sudden appearance made me jump slightly, though I'd never admit it. I mean, why was he always there when I least expected him? Was he secretly tracking my moves or something?

For a second, I froze, caught off guard. But then my sass ass kicked in. Deep breath, Suman. It's just him and his ugly mug.

" Good morning Boss" The guy named Nico bowed slightly greeting him.
