Suman Pov :

After arriving home, I changed into my comfy pajamas, letting out a sigh of relief as the weight of the day finally lifted off my shoulders. Dinner with Madhu was a peaceful moment amidst the chaos. Her warm smile and casual conversation eased my exhaustion a little, though my mind still buzzed with the events of the day.

Later, I called Tina to share my "wonderful" first day as Yuvan Singhania's assistant. And started rant everything except the little ass part. A glimpse of that making me embarassed as hell.

"He made my day endlessly exhausting, Tinu!" I groaned. "Eight cups of coffee! Eight! Who drinks that much? And on top of that, he's got this superiority complex where he orders me around like I'm some kind of robot."

I could practically hear her fuming on the other end of the call. "That guy is insane! He treats you like this on the first day? And coffee? What does he think you are, his personal barista?"

"Exactly!" I agreed, feeling validated. "But..."

Her tone softened immediately. "But what?"

"Well," I hesitated, knowing she'd pounce on this. "He wasn't all bad. He did help me out with a few things. He's... good to me in some ways."

The line went quiet for a second before she burst into laughter. "Oh my god, Suman! You're actually defending him now? What's next, you're going to start daydreaming about him too?"

"What? No!" I snapped, already regretting my honesty.

"Admit it, babe," she teased. "You're starting to like him. You and your grumpy boss-it's a ship waiting to sail!"

I groaned loudly, grabbing my pillow and smashing it against my face. "Shut up, Tina! That's never going to happen. Ever!"

"Sure, sure," she drawled, clearly enjoying herself. "But don't forget to invite me to the wedding!"

"Ugh, hate you!," I huffed, annoyed by her relentless teasing.

"Love you too, Sumi," she said sweetly before hanging up.

Throwing my phone onto the bed, I buried my face in my hands. Was Tina insane? me with Yuvan Singhania? If only she knew the sheer frustration that man put me through.

Yet, as I sat there, I couldn't deny the flicker of something else-a curiosity, a pull I didn't understand. Shaking my head, I pushed the thought away. No way was I falling into that trap.

Never.

My mantra is flirt with ridiculously hot guys and move on !

The morning sun bathed the grand Singhania mansion in its golden glow, but inside, it was anything but serene. Chaos reigned as the family buzzed around, each member preparing for the grand puja at the mandir.

In the sprawling kitchen, the cooks and maids were scrambling to prepare the elaborate prasad that would be offered during the ceremony. Chitra was there to look after the kitchen arrangements, The clatter of utensils and the hum of hurried instructions filled the air.

In the main hall, Mrs. Singhania (Prachi) was overseeing the arrangements, her voice sharp and commanding. "Where's the garland? I told you to bring fresh marigolds, not these wilted ones! And someone checks if the car is ready-we're already behind schedule!" Chitra came hurriedly and told Prachi.

" Calm down, everything will go swiftly "

Yuvan, however, was in no rush. Dressed in a crisp whitekurta, he leaned against the railing on the first-floor balcony, sipping his coffee and watching the frenzy below with an amused smirk.

"Typical morning chaos," he muttered to himself, his tone half-annoyed, half-entertained.

His younger sister, Megha, darted past him, a puja thali in her hands. "bhai! ( Brother )Stop lazing around and come help! Mom's going to flip if you don't show up downstairs in five minutes."
"I'm coming, I'm coming, don't shout you crazy" he replied lazily, finishing the last sip of his coffee. She glared and left.

As he descended the grand staircase, his father, Mr. Singhania, gave him a stern look. "Yuvan, enough with your laid-back attitude. Today's puja is important. We need to leave on time."

"Relax, Dad," Yuvan said with a charming grin, his nonchalant demeanor as irritating as ever. "The gods aren't going anywhere."

Mrs. Singhania overheard and shot him a sharp glare. "Get in the car, now!"

He sighed but complied, grabbing the car keys on his way out. Despite the chaos, the Singhanias were always a picture of tradition and unity when they finally stepped out of their mansion, ready to upholdtheir family's prestigious image at the mandir.

But beneath Yuvan's carefree exterior, his mind lingered elsewhere, a quiet storm of thoughts brewing as he recalled moments he was ready to admit and bother him. This day, however, wasn't about him-or so he told himself.
