Suman pov :

As the hours ticked by and the meeting drew closer, the tension coiled tighter in my chest. My heart raced as I finalized my notes, rehearsing my points silently. The conference room was abuzz with murmured conversations, the sharp clicks of pens against notepads, and the soft rustle of papers being shuffled. Investors sat at one end, their calculating eyes scanning the room, while employees gathered at the other, poised to critique every word.

And then there was him.

Yuvan sat at the head of the table, leaning back in his chair with that calm, commanding presence that could silence a room without a word. His sharp gaze settled on me briefly before flicking back to the papers in front of him, as though my existence barely registered. That look both irritated and emboldened me.

It was time to prove myself.

I straightened my back, took a deep breath, and began.
"Good afternoon, everyone," I began, my voice steady despite the storm inside me. "I'm here to present a plan that will help us expand our market reach while making the most of our existing resources."

I clicked to the first slide, which displayed a simple graph showing potential growth areas. "Our approach is built on three main ideas: smarter marketing, improving customer loyalty, and reducing unnecessary costs. With these strategies, we can increase our market share by at least 15% in the next year."

One of the employees raised his hand. "Ms. Suman, do you really think it's possible to cut costs without affecting the quality of our work?"

I smiled, grateful for the question. "Absolutely. By introducing new technology to handle repetitive tasks and reorganizing our workflow, we can save both time and money without compromising quality. It's about working more efficiently, not harder."

Another investor leaned forward. "What about risks? How will you handle unexpected problems in new markets?"

I nodded. "That's a valid concern. We've done detailed research, and our approach involves starting small in new markets. If we face challenges, we'll adjust quickly without risking the stability of the overall business."

The room buzzed with murmurs of approval. A few employees clapped, and several investors nodded, their expressions indicating satisfaction. Relief washed over me, but I kept my composure, ending the presentation with a confident smile.

"Thank you," I concluded.

Yuvan's lips curved into a faint smirk as he stood, his expression unreadable but undoubtedly approving. Without a word, he exited the room with the investors trailing behind him.

After the meeting, I congratulated Arjun for his assistance and headed to my cabin, finally allowing myself to relax. Or so I thought.

I settled some paperwork in the desk, I reached up to place some files on the upper shelf of the storage column, muttering under my breath, "This man has some nerve, loading me with endless work. I swear, one day, I'll kill this caffeine-powered control freaky bastard with my bare hands."
