s - how you two met

so, this can go one of two ways, imo!
i was thinking either at overwatch or you were also an archaeologist and the two of you were assigned to work together!
let's get into the scenario shall we?:)

meeting at overwatch

"hey, love!" a feminine voiced called through your room, a knock following immediately afterwards.

peeling your attention away from your weapon and a rag that you held in your hands, you smiled brightly at the brunette who stood in your doorway. "lena, whatcha doing here?" you asked, leaning your weapon on your desk that was a few feet away from your bed. you tossed the rag onto your desk as well, standing up whilst rubbing your hands on your pants. "you're only here if i'm assigned for a mission."

lena chuckled, shaking her head faintly before jerking her thumb behind her. "winston wanted me to go 'n get everybody." she explained, the two of you walking side by side to the main lobby. "said it was a surprise!"

you hummed with raised brows. it's been a while since winston had a surprise for everybody, the last 'surprise' was mauga being a new recruit to the team, so you were guessing it was another member. "who were you able to snag for this surprise?" you asked, turning to the time traveler.

she gulped, chuckling nervously while swinging her arms around; a habit she did when her objective didn't go as planned. "i may have only been able to get...let's say, i dunno...ten people?" she gulped, cracking her joints as she started to get a pep in her step. "not including, you, winston and i."

you smiled reassuringly towards the girl, patting her shoulder before the two of you turned the corner, revealing all the people tracer was able to snag for this 'surprise'.

obviously, there was winston, who was biting back a huge grin on his lips.
you also noticed the others that were there, which consisted of mercy, ana, kiriko, d.va, echo, junkrat, lucio, brig, mei and reinhardt.

"this is the best you'll get, winston." tracer admitted, blinking over to the scientist with a toothy, unsure smile.

he waved a hand reassuringly towards the girl, chuckling before clearing his throat. "so! as you all probably know from tracer, i have a surprise for you all!" winston beamed excitedly, walking over to a door while he spoke.

all eyes were on him, unsure of what was going to be behind it.
you and rein shared a glance, knowing that this could go a million different ways.

"no need to worry!" winston called out, noticing the tension immediately. he placed his hand on the door handle, opening the door abruptly before doing jazz hands. "meet our newest member of overwatch!" he beamed, jerking his hands at nothing.

everyone stayed silent, unsure of what to do in this situation.

"umm...winston?" mei finally spoke up, holding snowball firmly but gently in front of her. "there's nobody in there?"

winston dropped his arms and turned to look inside the room, mumbling and murmuring to himself as he started to peer around inside for the 'new member'.
whilst he had his back turned, the ground a few feet away from him started to crack before exploding, a young individual popping out of the ground, a huge drill in their hands.
