- the past couple of weeks while talking to you, they've been feeling...different

- like every time your name is mentioned, their stomach does flips.
anytime they think of you, their face gets tomato red
anytime they get even a small glimpse of you, or even your sent, their heart races a mile a minute
anytime they see your name pop up on their phone, they feel like puking

- they don't know when the hell is happening to them so they go to mercy/angela for advice
"everytime i see her/them i start to sweat, my mind go fuzzy, i-i can't think straight!!"

"i think you're in love, venture."

"...WHAT??"

- this poor baby hasn't been in love in AGES (their first 'love' was rosetta btw) (you're their first actual love)

- they are stressing out and everyone can feel it

- small headcannon rq: i feel like when they went to overwatch, they definitely went back to their old job too, kinda as a side gig so they can keep exploring and whatnot

- ^ when they had some free time from overwatch, they went on a solo mission to a site, old spanish songs playing in the background.

- ^ they didn't really do anything when they got to the site, they just sat on the hood of the car and watched the sunset, trying to figure out how to confess, getting their feelings in order etc.

- while out on the site, they called their family and asked for advice which ended up in sloan making plans for you to meet them in a few weeks...*GULP*

- they were a little more shy/nervous around you, which caused alarm bells to ring in your head

- during matches, they'll be going SUPER GOOD!! then; "that was amazing venture!" and a hug from you after they eliminated the enemy team

- let's just say they sold every match...

- they waited a few weeks before confessing, getting advice from angela and also making sure that their feelings were permanent as well as a few other factors they wanted to clear up

- "i need to tell you something!"

"..."

"I REALLY LIKE YOU!! PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME!"

"..."

*gasps dramatically* "YOU WILL?!"

"..."

"...why the fuck am i roleplaying with a rock."

- this is how the confession went if they confessed:
"i like you! i think? i dunno! everything is so confusing about this, i don't know what i'm doing!-"

"it's okay! i already knew you liked me. and i like you too, sloan."

"...REALLY?!"

- this is how it went if you confessed:
"hey sloan, can i ask you something?"

"oh! y-yeah, n/n, what's up?"

"i really like you, and i was wondering if you wanted to go on a date sometime?"

"...say on skibidi"

- literally ran to angela to tell her that she was right. she also let them yap about how it went:)

- when they got back to their room, they played every love song under the sun, mainly old spanish songs and songs that reminded them of you! (ex. we belong together, my girl, why don't we just dance)
