By the time Johnny and his friends arrive, they look pretty happy. I wave them over, "You're a little early." I said as I made sure my shoes were double-knotted.
"They didn't want to leave you waiting," Johnny grumbles still rubbing his eyes. He probably didn't get his coffee, he knew he could come five minutes late and still be fine. I laugh and gesture for them to follow me.
"What the plan Rat?" Johnny asks.
"How many cousins do you have?" A southern drawl calls out as I see Graves appear with a cowboy hat tilted down. I wave to him and a few shadow recruits behind him.
"One but these are his boyfriends."
"RAT!" Johhny shouts and Graves laughs walking over and patting my shoulder.
"What is this?" I look over to see John looking confused.
"Oh... well since I was only expecting Johnny I decided to... trick Johnny into doing a... five-mile march—"
"D'ye think ahm buttoned up the back?" Johnny grumbles glaring at me. I looked at him and blinked once then again before fully ignoring him. "Look here bitch—"
"Johnny can you not see, the adults talking?" I ask.
"I hope you're not talking about yourself, darling." I turn back to Graves with a dramatic gasp. "We all know you ain't a trustworthy adult."
"Phillip!" Graves only laughs and slowly introduces himself to everyone.
"Don't forget who pays you," One of the shadows comments. I glare at them and look back at the cocky bastard.
"I could always find another."
"Could you?" I ask mockingly, "I'm the best of the best."
"And a liability."
I purse my lips pouting. He's not wrong, I do sometimes.... act out, but he didn't have to call me out! "You little shit..." I grumble. Graves only laughs and looks back at Johnny's friends.
"Can they do the march?"
"Their military."
"Active?" One of the shadows asked as he checked out all of Johnny's friends.
"Yeah," Kyle spoke up.
"What branch?" Graves asks I could see the little cogs in his head turning. If they were good he tried to recruit them. I look over to see all of them looking at each other before talking.
"... Special forces," I arch a brow at John's words. I looked at each one of them, they looked like normal dudes, but I guess normal dudes become special forces. I look over to see Graves smirk.
Oh no.
"Well when your service is up consider joining my—" I smack him hard in the head knocking his cowboy hat off. I hear the recruits gasps and he turns to me annoyance in his face.
"We are here for a hike! Not you trying to recruit motherfuckers!"
Graves sighed at you and a few shadows plus Johnny laughed. To my surprise, Johnny and Graves got along just fine, the Southern cowboy and the patriotic scot mesh well. I fell in line with Kyle and Gary.
"Yeah he can't speak," Kyle said as Gary waved his hands and manically signed. Kyle sighs and grimaces, "He said you're cool." I wrapped my arms around his shoulder.
"I'm not just cool Gary, I am awsome—"
"Roach do not feed into their ego! Their head is already large!" Johnny snaps back at us. I rolled my eyes.
"You're just jealous I got better muscle than you—"
"That is a lie!"
Behind us a few of the recruits were struggling but, it wasn't a bad struggle. I barely paid attention to them. "Graves you're paying for dinner right?"
"Of course, they're my guess, but you're paying for yourself."
"Stingy ass motherfucker." I grumbled to which Kyle and Johnny laughed.
"Why did you hire her again?" John asks.
"they're the best, I have never seen someone with balls of steel like them."
"Yes my balls are magnificently massive— Ow!" I look over to see one of the Shadows hit me.
"Yet you almost get yourself and us killed."
"I never said I was smart." Johnny cackles and pats my shoulder.
"You are stupid."
"Johnny I did teach you, so shut up!"
"You did?" Simon spoke up, he was the silent giant type, it was odd but it added to the mysterious special force guy.
"Yeah since I was young my parents were pyrotechnics and I help around and my obsession with fire and explosions rubbed off on Johnny." I shrug ruffling the stupid mohawk Johnny has.
"And I am still surprised you have all your fingers," Graves grumbled. I roll my eyes.
"Wow," Kyle gasps seeing the land below us, "How beautiful." I look over to see Kyle and Gary taking photos of the landscape.
"I forget Europe doesn't have every biome," I chuckle and look out.
Tap tap tap.
I look over to see Gary holding his phone, he points to himself and the phone. I quickly figured it out took the phone and took a ridiculous amount of photos. He poses like a true model, serving cunt.
"What was your favorite bomb you ever made?" Kyle asks.
"... Mhm... Probably the ice sculpture one, in that horror moves."
"That was so unrealistic," Johnny complains as he takes a sip of water.
"I know, but it was funny, you have to admit that kill was amazing," I smile. I see Johnny pout he hates giving me credit, he jealous bastard.
"Oh god," Simon sighs, "Roach made me watch that movie twelve times." I look over at Gray who looks away face a little flush.
"Alright Boys," Graves begins to talk to his recruits. "It's training time."
You know who's entered their old man phase by their dad stance. John and Simon stood there arms folded watching the recruits exercising, as Johnny, Kyle, and Gary explored the surroundings.
The amount of flowers and plants Gary pointed out to me was insane. It was cute like a golden retriever bringing back their toy to be thrown. Kyle was like a black cat asking about the plants and tree, and Johnny... He was the cryptic lumbering through the forest like an elephant picking up sticks and fighting Kyle.
In all, I think it was a successful day.
