Bears over boys
Chapter 2

Eliza's pov,
"Eliza...Ellis?" The man said with a certain look on his face. I ignored it and smiled lightly at him.

"Why yes, that is me." I stepped forward and looked upon the desk that separated us.

"Welcome to The fashion institute of technology. Here's your key, your new roommate should be there already"

"Okay, thanks. I can't wait to meet her!" I say grabbing the handle of my suitcase and taking the key.

"Oh no it's not her"

"Excuse me?"

"It's not her, it's him"

I stared blankly at the man simply due to shock but was cut short when I heard someone walk in.

It snapped me out of my thoughts but didn't stop me from saying a few words.

"But boys are gross? How would y'all mix up something so simple! I mean it doesn't take rocket science to pair a woman with a woman and man with a man. These are simply the reasons why us women should choose the bear!"

The man at the desk just chuckled which earned him a glare from me.

"You think that's funny?" I say confused

"No i actually don't think it's funny" someone else said which made me turn my head in that direction.

A male leaning on the wall closing his water bottle and then looking up at me.

He had a black tank top with blue basketball shorts and white slides. His hair was wet and into a pony tail with a single curl hanging in his face. His face was chiseled and defined and his lips were plump with a hint of pink.

"You gonna give me my face back?" He said with a slight attitude.

"Oh sorry I didn't even realize"

"Yeah no it's fine. I'm Miguel by the way your gross male roommate" he said holding his hand out

I hesitantly tried to grab it but he swerved

"Oh wait I'm sorry, that's a simple reason why you women should choose the bear. Not so cautious of you take a man's hand"

The man at the desk laughed and i took offense crossing my arms. He walked a bit up to where the door was and motioned me to come with him.

"Come on our dorm is this way"

I sighed and followed.

Once we reached the door, after leaving the building and entering a new one, going up in the elevator and walking for a few, I looked at the number.

"25th...okay not so bad" I said to myself

"Do you always talk to yourself" he interfered

I stopped in my tracks and looked at him. He put his hands up in defense, "I'm just saying love, that seemed natural"

Love. What is this man DOING.

I couldn't help but laugh to myself and look away. "no I don't always talk to myself" i say shaking my head

"Good cause I'd rather not hear that all the time" he said pushing me out of the way and opening the door.

I couldn't help but stare at his arms while he opened it. But learning from my past mistakes, I averted my eyes before he could notice and I took my suitcase inside.

"Where's your room?" I asked

"Over here, but that's not so innocent of you to ask"

"But- i- wah- h-"

He laughed getting a kick at bothering me. "I'm just playing with you. I know what you mean" he said having a smile still plastered on his face. It complimented him well.

"Hey I never got your name, who I am with for these next four years?" He asked

"Oh I thought that these were simple reasons why us women should choose the bear???? Wouldn't be so cautious of me to tell you that information now would it?" I said dramatically and sarcastically.

He shook his head with that same smile.

"You know your really something"

"Oh?"

"Oh is right, I'm looking forward to seeing you miss Goldie locks"

"But I don't even have blonde hair!"

"But yet you gotta thing with bears. I'll see you tomorrow Kay Goldie?" He said waving his finger, pointing it at me.

"Sure Miguel" i say giving him a genuine smile.

I opened my door and set my suitcase aside.

Goldie...I like it. It fits.
