After some time of greeting and welcoming everyone, I walked out on the balcony to take a breather. I only had time to take two deep breaths or so before I heard footsteps behind me. “ Hm?” I turned to my side and saw Katsuki- The son of the chieftess of the barbarians. Katsuki looked at me and sneered. “ Who’re you.” He asked, even though he knew who it was. “ Oh uh- Im Asahi. Asahi Hakamada. Son of Tsuangu Hakamada.” Katsuki nodded his head, then looked away. He hated royals. Especially stuck up ones that acted entitled to everything. Even as he disliked the prince, he couldn’t stop himself from noticing his beauty. He was around his age, and despite his annoying haughty behaviour, he couldn’t help but admire him from afar. He then spoke. “ You’re a prince, right?” I looked at him and nodded. “ Mh-hm. And you are the son of your tribe’s chieftess, right? Katsuki, If I remember correctly.”
“ Damn right.” He answered sharply. “ You act like you already know me, prince.” He said. I chuckled before speaking. " Well, one part of being prince is getting to know all the different tribes and people in this kingdom." The corner of my mouth cracked open into a light smile. “ Suppose you’re right about that. But why would you go as far as talk to me? Don’t royals have better things to do?” I looked at him with a smile again before speaking" I suppose I do. Yet, I'm still here talking to you." I got silent for a second before looking out over the horizon before looking back into the ongoing ball. I then looked over at him with a smile " Hey, Can I offer you a dance?"

Katsuki's breath hitched in his throat. The nerve. How dare this stuck up prince just offer him a dance.
And yet, despite his annoyance with the offer, he had to admit the prospect of dancing with such a beautiful man was tempting. And he never could resist temptation."You know what, prince?" Katsuki said, "I accept." I smiled at him. “ Great. Let’s go inside then.”

We had gotten inside the ballroom and onto the dancefloor. In order to properly dance, I placed my hand on his waist and took his hand in the other. Katsuki tensed up at the prince’s touch. Damn that stuck up, royal snob. I looked at him with concern before I spoke softly. “ Are you alright? You seem tense.” Katsuki quickly looked away. He sneered. “ Fine, prince. Don’t worry about me.” He said with fake confidence. It was obvious he was lying, but I didn’t want to get too nosey. So I just answered. “ Alright then.” I said as I continued dancing with him. We danced quietly around the floor for a moment, it seemed to last forever before I spoke. “ You know, if there is something wrong, you don’t have to be scared to tell me.” I spoke softly as my features softened. Katsuki responded quickly. “ Nothing’s wrong. Really. “ Katsuki thought the prince and his kindness was just a joke. But, he tried to believe that the prince was genuine. “ How about you? How are you doing?” He asked, trying to change the subject more so that it’s more focused on the prince. I chuckled at the question. “ I’m fine, thanks.” I said with a smile as I looked at him. Katsuki tried to avoid my gaze but instantly failed, looking back into my eyes again. Damn it. Katsuki Thought. “ Good. That’s…Good.” He grunted. I chuckled. “ I’m glad to see you care” I spoke softly as I looked at him. "I don't care." He said, sounding like he was trying to convince himself. He hated how bad he was at lying with this prince. His voice always cracked when he got too nervous."I just asked out of simple human decency." He continued. “ Ah right, sorry for assuming.” I apologized. Katsuki narrowed his eyes before scoffing again. He was annoyed with the prince’s attitude. How dare he be so nice? He thought. The prince wasn’t supposed to make him happy. He’s supposed to dislike him. “ It’s fine.” He snapped. I still kept the smile on my face. I looked around at the other dancing pairs and noticed the dance was coming to an end. “ Hm. Seems like the dance is coming to its end. “ I addressed. Katsuki looked around as well before he spoke. “ Mm, seems like it.” He sighed with relief. He wanted to just walk away and never see the prince again. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t just walk away. What if the prince thought he was rude? No. That was the whole reason he agreed to dance with the prince. Not to be rude. He finally spoke. “ It was nice dancing with you prince.”
