I smiled and nodded before walking out of the ballroom. Up the stairs to the castle keeps roof. When we got up there, I sat down on the cold stone floor and looked up at the stars. My green emerald eyes shimmering in the moonlight and the light breeze swaying my hair ever so slightly. Katsuki sat down beside the prince and looked at him. Damn it. The prince had just taken him to the most romantic setting he could imagine. His heart skipped a bit as he looked at the prince. The prince was.. Beautiful. Before Katsuki stared too long, he scoffed lightly and looked away. “ Nice view up here.” he finally managed to say. I turned my head and looked at him with a relieved smile. “ It is, right?” I said before looking at the sky again. I sighed softly before speaking again.  " I used to go up here with my mom when she was alive." I said the topic was a bit sad, but I still had the smile on my face. Katsuki’s heart skipped a beat. The thought of the prince's late mother was both sad and endearing. He must have loved his mother a lot. "How old were you when you lost her?" He asked, finding himself unable to stay silent any longer. I sighed as I looked at the sky. " Seven. Today, It's been ten years since she passed." I said softly, but with a saddened tone. Katsuki’s heart clenched in his chest. Ouch. Losing someone so young. It must’ve left a deep scar on the prince. But yet, here he was, smiling. “ I’m sorry to hear that.” he said softly, looking away in fear to make the prince uncomfortable.

I shook my head before speaking. “ No, I should apologize for bridging out such a grievous topic out of nowhere.” Katsuki looked at me. “ It’s alright.” he replied in a calm tone. Katsuki would listen to the prince talk about his sad memories if it meant getting to sit here with him. The silence between them was soft but not awkward. “ So, what was she like?” he asked reluctantly. “ Your mother, I mean.” I smiled as I looked at the sky. " She was the nicest. She always saw the good in people and believed strongly in second chances. She'd get devastated every time someone ended up in the dungeon. "  I’d chuckle at the last part. Katsuki looked at me before he looked away. "She sounds like she was a lovely person." He said softly before looking at me softly before he spoke again. "I'm sure she would be proud of the kind and caring person you've become."

My heart skipped a beat at his reply. Those words meant a lot. Truly. To know that my mother would be proud of me. “ Thank you. Those words mean a lot.” I smiled at him. Katsuki looked over at the prince and noticed that his eyes shined more. It was because tears were forming in his eyes. Shit. He made the prince cry. “ Sorry. “ He said quickly, “ I-” Damn. This wasn’t good.
