Clare was scared to transfer schools to another state.

Of course, she knew that it would be an experience– as her mom constantly assured her. She was just... scared. Moving from Georgia to Louisiana at only twenty was terrifying. She wasn't sure what she was thinking when she committed to LSU, but now, it was happening. And she had to face it.

But, dealing with the fact that she couldn't just drive to her mom and sit with her and her sisters whenever she wanted was something that she was having a hard time coming to terms with. She had five sisters and amazing parents. They'd always just been... there. They wouldn't be now. What she was to make of that, Clare wasn't sure.

She was sitting on her bed, staring off into space with her unzipped suitcases next to her as she thought about everything, when her sister, Alexia, walked in. Alexia was the oldest out of all six of them. She was four and a half years older than Clare, and someone she always looked up to.

"May I ask you why you're staring off into space and crying right now?" Alexia enquired.

Clare jumped out of her skin. She brought a hand up to her cheek to feel a drying tear streak. She hadn't even realized a tear or two managed to escape her eyes. She looked up at her sister.

"This is my room." Clare bluntly stated.

Alexia hesitated, as if she were thinking about what to say. Finally, she said, "The door was open."

"And? It's still my room."

"And I'm your sister."

"That doesn't matter!"

"I'm older, so it actually does matter."

Clare shot Alexia a dirty look. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Princess." she sarcastically spoke, flailing her hands about. Her eyes were now drying up and crusting and frankly, it was pissing her off, so she began furiously rubbing them.

Alexia rolled her blue eyes. "I just wanted to see if you needed any help packing." she said, peeking her head around Clare to see if she was all packed. "I see that you definitely need help. Your room is a mess."

"Again, my room." Clare reiterated, giving her sister another sour look. She was already in a bad mood, she didn't need Alexia coming in here and picking her apart.

Alexia sighed softly, putting her hands on her hips. Finally, she said, "Are you okay?"

"I am great, Lexi." Clare said, sarcastic once more.

"You were just zoned out and crying."

"I wasn't crying."

"Tell that to the tears on your cheeks."

Clare let out a loud breath, falling back onto her bed, just for her to hit her head on one of her bags. She groaned and reached back, pushing it away. "I'm just... overwhelmed. With everything. I don't know if LSU was a good idea." Clare shrugged. "I'll be fine."
