It was late at night when I walked through the doors of my home. Tired, disheveled, and dead.

I had just came home from working the night shift at my waitress job at a local restaurant.

I kicked my shoes off before going upstairs to my room. Upon entering the room, i flopped on my bed.

Ring! Ring! Ring!. My phone was, already annoyed, I grabbed my phone out of my purse, ready to immediately decline the call, until I saw it was my good friend.

"Rosemary! Thank goodness! You would not believe the day I just had," I said, exhausted.

Rosemary decided to speak up on the other side of the phone after some silence. "I'm gonna assume your day was a very bad day?"

"You are absolutely right!" I sat up in my bed. "I had a total of about 7 customers today complain about my services not being good!"

"Continue-" She couldn't even finish her sentence before my voice cut her off.

"Gladly. One of the customers was a Karen just coming in there to complain like a psycho, so we had her kicked out- but then out of nowhere she comes back with her family!"

"That sums it up to about four people who told me off. When I tell you I wanted to just reach over and grab her by her wig...ugh!"

Rosemary spoke after hearing my outburst over the phone. "Sounds like you had a good day."

Her muffled voice spoke, mocking me. "Rosemary, I swear on the night sky if you are mocking me, I will come over there in the dead of night and set your house on fire..."

"We all know you wouldn't!" She laughed. "Anyway, I have to go, it's time for the kids to go to bed. Will you be out tomorrow?"

She asked, "No. I plan on staying in with my husband tomorrow, but I'll be free to hang out on Sunday, if that works for you." I reply, walking downstairs to greet my husband who just came in.

"Sadly, no. I'll be at my sons soccer practice. We can talk about this later." Then she hung up the phone.

I walked into the dining room, placing my phone on the table. Walking to my husband, I placed my arms around him.

"Hard day?" He asked, "Yes..." I replied. "Do you wanna bath and watch your favorite show?" "Mhm..." I nodded my head.

"Anything else I should know, my love?" I looked up at him, "My feet hurt..."

"Massage after bath, got it. Go lay down in bed, I'll be up in a 2 minutes to run your bath." He said softly, kissing my forehead.

I stopped hugging him and walked up stairs. Laying in our bed, I waited.
