Neteyam opened the door to see a man with very long dark curly hair, a muscular body dressed with very a fancy floral patterned shirt and jean shorts, he seemed farmiliar but Neteyam couldn't put his finger on it. just then Jake appeared behind him and startled Neteyam with a booming "hello Tonowari! great to see you". apperantly mr.Tonowari was Jakes old work partener before he moved to boston and met his wife. "great to see you too! you haven't changed a bit" the man responded jokingly with an even deeper voice, jake had migrated infront of his son and gave the man a friendly handshake.
Jake invited Mr.Tonowari into the house where he introduced himself to Neteyam. "i'm Neteyem sir, i've heard a lot about you from my father" he said politely. "i hope all good things" the older man said with a chuckle looking at jake, who was smiling.

Jake led Tonowari over to the kitchen, where jake started a pot of coffee for the both of them, it was obvious they were going to have a conversation of their own so Neteyam left them to themselves, walking over to his room to continue unpacking.

after some time the van of their other things had gotten to the house. everyone had found their labeled boxes and taken them to where they needed to be, expect for Jake who was still chatting with his friend. Neteyam was decorating and could hear Lo'ak complaining about his back from below him and his sisters bickering about something above him, atleast they were talking. there was a point a few years ago where one of them had a jacket and the other wanted it, they fought so bad their mother took the jacket and donated it, this sparked a strike where both sisters wouldn't talk for months, eventually one of them got the other a gift and all was forgiven.
Neteyam envied their ability to talk about their feelings to one another and the other listen to it, but he would rather it be less noisy and not affect the whole family.

once his room was set up, Neteyam decided to check on his sisters and how their rooms were coming along.
up the stairs the first room to the left was Tuk's room, he knocked on the door and opened after she welcomed him.
the walls were a baby pink colour all around, in the center of the back wall was her bed, topped with a quilt patterned with eiffel towers and pink pillows. she had yet to unpack most of her boxes but the ones that had been unpacked contained her barbie toys, their father needed to help her rebuild the barbie house.
"looks nice in here, need help with anything?" he didn't want to help but he knew he should say it nonetheless. the 12 year old shook her head so her brother left, going to kiri's room.
he knocked on her door, the same routine as before.
he looked around, one wall was a dark green and the rest were a lighter sage green, her bed tucked in the corner with a white quilt spotted with leaves and pillows to match, she didn't have a a lot of belongings in there yet, she needed to go to the garden store for decorative plants. at the moment she was folding clothes and putting them in her drawers, Neteyam figured to leave her be and he continued down the hall. on the right was his parents room with the door open, the walls were champaign coloured and the bed sheets were a bit off the wall colour, he could see their master bathroom from the door and it matched the classy aesthetic. after looking around upstairs he wanted to explore more around the house. he went downstairs and took it all in, the front door was to the left of the stairs, the stairs going to the basement were left right next to the stairs Neteyam was standing on. the kitchen was directly infront of him and the dining table was right of the kitchen. the living room was across from the dining room and through the living room was the door to Neteyams room. in the middle of the living and dining room was a big window wall with a glass door to their backyard, he would look there later.
in the basement was another lounge room right infront of the stairs. it was empty for now but Jake wanted to set up a home gym. right of the main area was a room with a Tv and a couch and left was the hall where Lo'aks room, his bathroom and the laundry room were. Neteyam thought that's a good excuse for their mother to get him to finally get his laundry done not in a 2 day timespan. He would look in Lo'aks room later when it was set up. Neteyam made his way back upstairs to get a snack but he realised there was no food in the house yet.
he assumed his father and his work partner had moved to talking outside of the house, Neteyam's guess was confirmed when his father walked into the house while waving behind him.
"hey dad, can i drive and get some food?" Neteyam asked his father, he had only just gotten his license at 16 and little did he know his father would suppress him for his 17th birthday with a car but for now he had to use the family vehicle.
"we're getting pizza for dinner i thought?" Jake's face lowered as he thought about his pizza wishes closing, the disappointed tone in his voice very evident. "i think we are but i just wanted snacks is all" Neteyam said trying not to giggle at his father being upset over pizza.  Jake brightened up and nodded to Neteyam to where the keys were.
