He had a smile similar to hers, known as a gummy smile.

It was just noon, but that didn't mean there wasn't a lot happening on the track. Mechanics were bustling around the paddock, trying to find things they couldn't locate in the garage. Some directors were standing around and chatting, which Wanda found quite amusing because Vin had told them in the car about the drama that unfolds during Formula One.
So far, everything looked like one big family party. The kind that happens before the summer holidays start. The kind where the whole family, including those who live far away, gathers in someone's backyard, lasting at least two days, and most of the time, you just watch the men argue about how to properly grill the meat.
Wanda knew these parties all too well. Her family threw them every year at the end of the school year. She had a big family, with her father having three siblings and her mother having two. Each of those siblings had two to four children. Nobody got bored. It always happened at Wanda's parents' house because they had the biggest home - one Wanda bought for them after she received the money from Fast & Furious 5.
There was also a makeshift small American football field in the paddock where you could try throwing and catching the ball. You could see if you'd be any good at this sport. Wanda was terrible. Very terrible - she played American football in a comedy at the beginning of her career, and they almost couldn't film the scenes because she kept messing them up. Wanda was never good at throwing a ball, but the director didn't listen and wanted her to do the scenes herself and not her stunt double, who looked like her and was ready.
There was also a basketball court. The kind with just one hoop, but if you knew how to play street basketball, you knew exactly what to do and how to win.
In that, Wanda was unbeatable. As a child, she always played basketball after rehearsal at the theater and got so good at it that in high school, her classmates refused to play with her because they hated losing to a girl.
Wanda was simply a person of many talents. Besides acting, she could add martial arts and athletics, which she also mastered incredibly well. She even learned parkour for a role, so since then, she does most of her stunts herself - most of them, because there are still some where her life would be in danger, and in those cases, the production prefers to use a stunt double, because they can't afford to lose an actress.
"You look like you're having fun," Vin appeared next to Wanda, looking thrilled about the whole experience. He was smiling from ear to ear, and if he weren't bald, Wanda would have thought he looked like a little kid. He seemed like his biggest dream had come true today.
Wanda understood him. She was this excited when her biggest dream came true. Who wouldn't rejoice if they made it from a small New Zealand town all the way to Hollywood in the United States? Few New Zealand actors make it to Hollywood, and she could count herself among the lucky few. Her dream had come true. She had made it. She got a chance, seized it, and never let it go. She took advantage of it, and today she was here.
