People were waiting. Motorsports fans were waiting.

It was here.

The Miami Grand Prix.

The Miami Grand Prix, an event frequented by dozens of celebrities just to look cool on social media. Miami, Vegas, and Monaco – three Formula One Grand Prix where you'll see the most celebrities because there are big parties all around, and everyone is invited.

This year, 2024, Wanda Finkley joins the ranks of celebrities who aren't Formula One fans.

Wanda's father, when he was alive, was a huge motorsports fan. His love for this luxurious and expensive sport never transferred to his only child, his daughter. Her father always wanted a mechanic. He wished for a son to teach everything he knew about cars so they could open his dream garage together. Instead, he got a daughter. A daughter who got her driver's license but never developed a love for cars – which is ironic considering her most successful movies are the Fast & Furious series. Yes, he got a daughter who later became an actress. He wanted a son, a mechanic who would eventually work for Ferrari, but instead, he got a daughter who works in Hollywood.

It wasn't that Wanda didn't know about cars. She knew cars. She could distinguish between different brands and types of cars but never cared enough to know what types of cars were coming out. She certainly wasn't one of those people interested in the fact that Mercedes was releasing a new car or that McLaren was collaborating with so-and-so. Her father always wished his daughter would take an interest, but it never happened. Wanda had more important things to do than follow the automotive world.

Acting. That was the world Wanda followed and loved. Her love for acting began when she was young. She participated in school plays and always got the lead role. The residents of her hometown loved her and looked forward to seeing her perform in another children's play. She was the most talented among the local kids, providing the only comfort for parents forced to sit through hour-and-a-half performances in uncomfortable seats, watching their talentless children act.

Wanda's father might not have gotten the mechanic son he wanted, but instead, he got a daughter who chose to star primarily in action films involving cars. She joined the Fast & Furious series with the fifth film, which her father lived to see. He didn't live to see the seventh film, the last one featuring Paul Walker – in one year, she lost both her father and a truly great friend. That year was the worst she had ever experienced.

However, she didn't only act in action films with cars. She also appeared in many horror films and even had smaller roles in series dealing with various cases – shows like Criminal Minds, 911, and CSI. Her entire career began with romantic films and comedies, but she had to stop after receiving a lot of hate comments about her smile – she preferred to make films where she didn't have to smile.
