RE0 - Chapter 7 - Fine, Tough Girl

Rebecca PoV.

We had to go back once more, this Mansion was a damn labyrinth. We had to go through all the rooms once more, to see of any new doors were now available, and we did... One that brought to the sewers, right by the first time we saw the Exterminator Apes, and there were those Mantis/Crickets type enemies. But Billy and I made quick work of them with our pistols, though mine was definetly falling behind, S.T.A.R.S. equipment was pretty standard, while Billy's seemed to be personalized, maybe not his own, but the gun had been modified.

They were, guarding a key of sorts..., as I went and took it. "Great, another treasure hunt" I spoke showing the key to the boys, Billy signed heavily "Again? I honestly am thinking about letting myself get bitten and end this suffering" He said as he then looked at Y/N, the guy who had been so cocky and show off till now looked so cold and hollow. His hairs covering his eyes, and all he had to say to the key was an annoyed sigh, not even a joke or a comment trying to be funny... Just.... Cold stoicism.

"No time to stand by then" were the only words that escaped Y/N's mouth as he then moved from laying his back to the wall, opening the door, but before closing it, he put a slash into it with the Knife, as to mark we had been here and had discovered everything. Something he has been doing recently to avoid visiting rooms we have already cleaned, like a tally.

As we passed by the corpses of one of those Apes once more, Y/N tried to absorb it, but to his surprise, and ours as well, the briefcase spat out the Monsters it had devoured, except the Centipede, as they had came back to life basically, which caused Y/N to quickly dispatch the monsters in a single slash of the Red Queen that he quickly revved up, which caused the blade to heat up to such a degree that it seemed like he had slashed a fire enhanced sword, creating a wave of flames that burned the monsters whole.

Another loud tsk could be heard from Y/N, as he took out a radio, probably one he had taken from the soldiers that were killed on the train before the crash, as he drew a bit of blood, creating the circle behind the walkie talkie like he did with mine before, probably calling his friends once more, but this time he walked further, like he didn't want me and Billy to know what happened, so as Billy went to start the search, he told me to have a word with Y/N, to try lift his spirit up a bit... I'll try... Cause it kinda hurts to see him like this. In the wait, I took the book he gave me, and continued reading, I had read a few pages in the small down times we took from exploring the House.

Y/N's PoV.

"Rodin! Do you read me?" I spoke into the radio, as it was silent at first, so I decided to speak once more "Rodin!" I almost yelled, pressing the button, as I soon heard the male voice from the other side "I heard you the first time, Kiddo... Was just serving our little demoness here a drink... What's wrong?" He spoke. I wanted to crush the radio right then and there, how could they joke after what just happened? I lost my familiars! Two friends! TWO PARTS OF ME! yet I couldn't be mad, they didn't knew... I had not the gut, nor the strength to tell them yet

"Pandora's acting up" I told them, as Rodin took a while to speak back "Explain" he sent back and so I did "I tried to make it eat a creature that it didn't eat, dead. Yet the bag literally spit out not only the beast that it ate, but also all the others, except the one that gave me Agni and Rudra and the Big Scorpion, but I don't have that weapon anymore. So I have the two swords I started with, the knives, Agni and Rudra, and the firearms." I said, as I then heard back from Rodin "These creatures that it spit out, are they common enemies?" He asked as I answered back affirmatively, which prompted Rodin's response

"Guess the Demoness Pandora doesn't want to be fed creatures with low demonic power" He spoke as I had to absorb the information to speak back "So you're telling me that it's getting picky with the food?" I asked as Rodin spoke back "Basically Yes. The box spends a lot of demonic energy to transform into weapons each time. Since I make and upgrade the guns with demonic material, and most Devil Arms are from powerful Demons.... Pandora can satiate the demonic Energy hunger from those, but Umbrella's experiments aren't as full of it, which is why she threw them away, seeing them not worthy of being absorbed and made part of the 666 weapons."
