*After the giant group hug, 15 minutes passed and Alex was laying on the ground in a food coma. Luke and Jean were inside using their phones and the rest of us were still in the pool having a tiny conversation*

Mason: *one arm on Destiny's shoulder* I knew you two would hookup. It was so obvious.

Derek: *hugs her from behind.* Was it really that obvious?

Nickie: Not really babe. I had no idea you liked me the way I like you.

Derek: One moment guys. *swims away from the others holding Nickie's hand so they could speak in private.*

Nickie: What's up hun?

Derek: I have something to tell you. *clears throat*

Nickie: *puts a hand on his cheek* Then say it babe.

Derek: I have had a crush on you since the day I saw you. *starts to blush uncontrollably.* I would sometimes choke up when I would go and ask you a question because I was scared I would ask a different question that I wasn't supposed to ask.

Nickie: *says nothing and her eyes start to tear up. Her hand still on his face she can feel his cheek getting hotter.*

Derek: Every Valentine's Day I would give you a lollipop or a little card. But the card never told you how I really felt. So after I went home I would work on a poem that I would give you the next day... But I never did. Every year I would do the same thing. I have a desk full of the poems. I even memorized the most recent. Mind if I say it out loud.

Nickie: *Starts to blush a lot* G-go ahead.

Derek: *hugs her and looks down at her and sees that she's crying.* Hey baby why are you crying?

Nickie: Tears of joy dummy. *burries her face in his chest* that was beautiful. The answer is yes and it would've been yes if you had given it to me on Valentine's Day as well.

Derek: *Hugs her tighter* I love you Nickie.
