Summary: IN WHICH... Mari was raised in Nevada, in an all female assassin headquarters where she learned to shoot a gun before she learned to read. When she was fifteen, she managed to escape. After escaping, Mari was relentlessly attacked by monsters it seemed no one else could see. Soon, she is rescued and brought to Camp Half-Blood, where she learns she is Poseidon's daughter. Mari realizes she is more than a trained killer, and is able to move on from her past. About a year and a half later, she is sent on a mission with Percy Jackson back to the place of her childhood, to rescue her two best friends still trapped. It definitely won't be easy, and Mari isn't sure she has what it takes. All she knows is she can't ignore her friends any longer. So Mari has to face her trauma and come to terms with her past, before hindsight catches up with her.
