HAPPY READING!!!!!<3

Akito had just walked out of the theater,
holding Toya's hand.
When they first met, Akito thought it was
weird that Toya was staring.
Now he's the one staring. And he can't stop.

His side profile, sharp and defined. His eyes,
a beautiful mix of blue and grey. His lips, lavish, and the most wonderful shade of pink. His hair, effortlessly straight and smooth.

...probably like Toya, huh?
The day Toya had asked for his number, he was sure he was into him. I mean, why stare like that otherwise?
Why get that excited over a number?

Although... that's another thing he liked about Toya. It was almost like his looks alone spoke volumes. Sure, he had on that poker face of his most of the time, but when he felt so strongly about something, he would suddenly become so expressive. Toya didn't know that, so he was often confused as to why Akito was smiling so hard, but...
Man.
He loved it. He loved... him. He was sure of it.
Akito Shinonome was in love with his best friend.
But...
He wished he wasn't. He wished so badly he wasn't. Because he didn't think he would be into him. Because he was probably into girls. I mean, why wouldn't he be? He could get any girl he wanted by simply looking at them.
Just a mere moment of his glance in their direction, and he would have girls all over him. That was just how attractive he was.

And then his personality. Yeah, he was honest, sometimes too much so, but eventually, he found it funny, endearing.
He was caring. He would help you out. He would want to.
He was smart. That probably has nothing to do with personality, but it's what he was. He hated studying, but he loved it when Toya was strict with him about it. It meant he cared.
And while he was so academically intelligent, he could be so dumb sometimes. Akito found it silly; as well as cute.
He was also very gullible from time to time, which made for very funny situations.

God, he was whipped, wasn't he? So much that it was pathetic, wasn't it?

He sighed, giving Toya's hand one final squeeze before letting go.
He wanted to hold hands forever, but that would have him hoping. He couldn't do that.
It wasn't.. healthy.

"Now what?" He spoke, voice sort of shaky.
Wait, what? Shaky?

"Are you okay..?" Toya's eyes narrowed, and his brows furrowed as he looked at the other boy.

"Er... yeah, why..?" He smiled. Weakly.
Why?
Why was he acting like this..? He had realized he liked Toya a long time ago.. he had always denied it, but...
Was it because he finally accepted it?
But.. he never really realized it, did he?
He had just told himself so because An did, huh? To humor her..
...then, how has he only just now realized it?
Looking back, it was so obvious..

"Hello?" Toya repeated, a great deal of concern painting his face.

"Uh, what..?" he blinked, a great deal of confusion on his own face.

"What's your problem?" He snapped.
He then quickly clarified that that 'came out so much ruder' than he intended, and that he was 'so incredibly sorry.'

"I meant to say something along the lines of 'What's wrong,' or 'what happened,' or trying to ask if there was a problem or issue, that would have made you act like this all the sudden.." he sighed, fiddling with his fingers.

"Were you actually going to turn her down? Is that why? Did I mess up your opportunity.. again?"

Again?
"What? No. I was going to turn her down. I thought you had realized, and that's why you spoke up..?"
