(Credit to my sis for coming up with these!)
In a garden where lime trees align,
Grew a lime that refused to resign.
Said, "I'll not be a snack,
Or a drink in a pack,"
But ended up in a fine wine.
A bold lime took a dare to sublime,
To season a dish in its prime.
It leapt with a flair,
In the chef's hearty fare,
And now is enjoyed all the time.
A lime who was often quite shy,
Met a lemon and let out a sigh.
"When mixed in a drink,
We're better than you think!"
Now together, their spirits fly high.
There once was a lime from Peru,
Whose zest added pizzazz to the stew.
When squeezed with some might,
It enhanced every bite,
Making flavors burst through and through!
