As Pomni got herself back to bed, Ragatha made sure to help clean up Pomni's black, gooey vomit before leaving her beloved friend to rest. She left a cup of water on her nightstand and tucked her back in.
"I'm still very sorry, Ragatha" Pomni regretted her actions that were out of her hands... or in her case, her paws.
"I'm telling you, everything is okay," Ragatha reassured.
"No, it's not. I could've hurt you or someone else... What all have I done?"
"It's okay, Pomni, really. The only thing you've done was pinning Jax to the ground, and to be fair, he ratted you out, remember?"
"That is fair, but still..."
"Shh, I assure you lashing out wasn't your fault, Poms. Something about the lycanthropy might've hijacked your brain, and caused you to lose touch with your awareness." Ragatha paused, looking at her with compassion. "Don't beat yourself up over something that was never your fault."
"I'll try my best," Pomni promised, but felt unsure.
Ragatha gave her a warm smile and gently patted Pomni's arm. "That's all I ask. Get some rest, okay? We'll figure this out together."
Pomni nodded weakly, closing her eyes as Ragatha quietly exited the room, closing the door softly behind her. She sighed, leaning against the door for a moment, worried about what the future held for Pomni and the challenges they would have to face together.
...
Hours later, Pomni had woken up from a better rest. She still felt horrible, but not as much as she did before. She still had yet to get used to her full werewolf form as well as shifting. Looking at her arms and legs, she was shrunken back to her humanoid-like form. As she got off her bed, she heard yelling from outside the door.
"DAMMIT, JAX! GIVE ME MY ARM BACK!" The voice yelled.
The voice appeared to be a figure with a fuchsia triangle head, a light yellow gown, and various bionic limbs. They had limbs such as a wheel for a right foot, a plug-in cord for a tail, and a robotic claw for a left hand.
Jax can be heard giggling mischievously as he jogged down the corridor, waving the cybernetic arm in the air tauntingly. "Come and get it, Zoobie!"
Pomni opened the door and stood there as the voice groaned in frustration.
"I swear, he's gonna get an honorable mention in my obituary..." Zooble sighed in anger.
"I'm so sorry about that, Zoobie," Pomni fretted. "I'm also really sorry about earlier... if you witnessed it."
"Nah, don't worry about it. I only saw a part of it," Zooble assured Pomni, their voice deadpanned. "Not gonna lie to you, Jax getting pinned down was the best thing I've ever seen. That jackalope nuisance deserved it. By the way, call me Zooble."
"Zooble," Pomni repeated to herself. "I'll remember that..." She paused, remembering she had not introduced herself.
"...and I'm-"
"Pomni, right?" Zooble assumed before the humanoid werewolf could finish.
"How'd you know?"
Zooble shrugged nonchalantly, their expression still as a statue. "Ragatha told me. Plus, you're kind of hard to miss around here. New faces don't show up often."
Pomni nodded, trying to mask her nervousness. "Right, makes sense." She paused, looking down at the floor and then back at Zooble.
"So, um... W-would you like me to fetch your arm for you? I mean- I did learn to sprint on all fours."
