Chapter 6

A deep in the past

DISTRICT: TAKILL

It was evening ,Kazashi had been informed that he had awoken just a day after he had been healed, the war  between Takill and miyamizu, was over, finally, after 7 months of blood shed,it was over.

And they had won.

But that was the least of his worries for kazashi was heir to the throne, next in line to rule over  one-third of a kingdom , to be a symbol of hope and guidance to his people.
he has no interest in that, he never has ,never will.

But his king wasn't having that,the very same man he called his father.

And at any moment he would  have come  to get him for the crowning ceremony.

Key word ' would have ' yeah kazashi wasn't having that ,which lead to him looking for the finest horse in the royal stable, a Cloak to hide in, equipment to defend , and with food and  water to sustain himself in hand, he set off.

The  nightly wind rushing against his face as he rode off,with  one destination in mind.

( Please remember that kazashi left his palace after one day of healing and ethereal is flying 2 days later ,so kazashi is doing this in past  time)

Ethereal  had finally landed as she instantly found kiyoshi,her brother , he was sleeping  underneath the very tree in which ethereal and kiyoshi would often hangout ,it was like a secrete spot .A special place, ethereal smiled at the memories-.

" you going to stand there or ask, little sister?" He spoke, his eyes still calmly shut as he spoke "what worries you?-" He asked finally revealing his emarul eyes as they glistened in the morning sun, he was the only child of ethereal's aunt huntress Kami, he was a substitute for the throne for it rightfully belonged to the silver haired girl.
" You seen upset," kiyoshi continued

" Brother, what is to happen now? " Ethereal spoke with formality but concern laced her tone "ethina! Our little own warrior!, you have nothing to fear," the orange head disappeared " yes I have every reason to, kiyoshi the dom....i-its.." kiyoshi then reappeared by the side of her " what ?"  He said with a bit confusion" kiyoshi there's something wrong here, I do not know what, but   id bigger than the safety of our district " ethereal said
As the orange head just continued to stare the girl to that as a sign to continue.

She looked up to the sky " the dom, is breaking" she said in a breathy tone as she lowered her head

".....what!?" Kiyoshi questioned he couldn't comprehend what he just heard, ' so the only thing that is keeping cikena hidden and safe is weakening !? We don't have nearly enough warriors to defend ourself! Let alone with the wars going on' kiyoshis head was sworming with thoughts but he could only utter a single word " how?".

But ethereal continue to stare at the sky ,a loud silence filling the air as the  their hair swayed with the wind " I-,I do not know.But we need to be on high alert as I said this is more than just our district"she said, to say she was anxious was an understatement, what if she was the cause of this? The first time half of her people died agonizing deaths what would become now? She thought.

Maybe  the worry was visible on her face  because  kiyoshi stepped forward " please, do not worry-"  he tried comforting her  the best he could for he new that his sister was stubborn but was interrupted " what I am causing this?, you guys were fine- the dom was fine! I can't let what happened.... Happen, again ,I can't..." Her voice was muffled by the embrace provided by her brother.

With his head on her shoulder,his eyes closed, he kept silent he didn't know what exactly she say never really did until one of the survivers told him, from what he heard it was gruesome, bodies burned, children screaming,mothers crying lives were lost including the rulers of cikena ,she watched their death first hand before her and when she provided a shelter she was blamed horribly.Even though he deeply wanted to know the full story.

Ethereal was still against the hug, but excepted it, it was nice. Warm, warmer than the winters she had to endure, the cold glares, the pity in their eyes, it was nice.

" Do you have a plan? " Kiyoshi asked and fortunately ethereal did " yes. It's complicated but I can- well I know how to build up the dom it's just that I don't know what's weakening it." Kiyoshi was confused, again  so he had to ask " so what are you worrying about?!" He asked his voice louder than intended "kiyoshi, this is the same feeling I had the day before  the forest fire, the day mom and dad died." She said her voice lower than a whisper being carried by the breeze, she held her head low her silver hair casting a shadow over her eyes as her gaze struck to the ground.

She felt a hand on her head," it's ok to not be ok " she heard her brother say in a shaky but gentle  voice " am sorry, but we will face this,we-  we've done it before. We can do it again and  better " he said

And this time it was ethereal who initiated  an imbrace after all, at the young age of 24 he became the temporary  king of a one-third  of a nation " don't forget stronger because now we're together" she pulled away subtle smiles on their faces

a silence,once again filled the air but this time it  wasn't awkward, and at the same time kiyoshi turned invisible while ethereal spread her wings and took to the skies 

The field was left empty once  again
