The training of earth
The sun shinned and heated the ground of the art beta, wearing leggings and a skin tight top, she stood there alone, her hair tied into a high ponytail as the watch on ethereal's wrist read 8:59.
She anxiously scanned the area near the trees over and over again,waiting 'she said someone would be here by nine...' she thought looking over to the entrance gate.
A particularly cold breeze left her frozen causing her breath to hitch, the feeling of a hundred eyes staring at her was growing stronger by the moment, she gulped. Subconsciously getting into a battle stance. The feeling was radiating off of the trees across from her tempting her to go forward, yet she felt a surge of energy from the ground behind her, it was faint but it was there.
Ethereal lifted her hand slightly that it would have been invisible to the human eye.
As fast as lightning she manipulated the ground to split open in the direction of the trees as she focused on the energy behind her, and in the last moment she elegantly pivoted her body with the force of the sharp wave she produced from her hand and released it, as it hit and did nothing accept vertically slit the barks growing wood.
"Mmhh, impressive. I suppose" a deep but particularly high pitched voice called out from above her, resulting in ethereal turning her gaze to be met with a guy ontop of the far edge of the roof plates on the building, he had short black hair that reached his ears and charcoal eyes that were slightly narrowed.
Ethereal's stare on him lingered as his to hers until he disappeared 'did he teleport?' ethereal asked herself.
" When I heard you were born having the knowledge of the earth art, I had to see how much you new about it " she whipped her head at the sound of his walking voice behind her but he was already inches away from him as he stared down on her, she backed away and he stepped forward.
"I know you can detect the energy of the human body even when I was teleporting" he said holding a his chin 'what how-?' ethereal thought 'this is moving to fast' "let alone, your quick thinking in timing my teleporting habits to know the exact time to strict..clever"he turned around "nonetheless,the names shinra. Arts Teleportation and Earth-i'll be your teacher today or whatever..." he said under his breath as he started walking away "what?.... Hey! Where are you goin-" "shut up and listen" he said as he continued to walk his hands in his pocket.
Ethereal's eyes slightly widened at the choice of words but just huffed keeping silent as she observed his movements
"Sound energy" he abruptly said as he came to a stop and looked at her,which left question marks in ethereal's head " whether you believe it or not, there will always be sound in and around you" he spoke his gaze stern and strong "though you wouldn't usually see it you can feel it. Sound energy is the energy realesed by a subject's vibrations or movement through a particular area, in this case the earth. A person always has movement wheather it be their body, their beating hearts or flowing lungs the vibrations from those actions create a sound wave from that person through the ground and finally to you. To be honest I was impressed you could detect my vibrations even if they were for a split second that's why today-" he moved his hands and a bag full of various things such as tennis balls, pingpong balls, chalks and windup cars appeared
"We're going to strengthen the detection you have on the energy from one small thing to many and larger then we'll kick it off to moving in different directions until you can handle the strain of multiple sound waves at once,k?" He asked slightly tilting his head back as the girl just nodded "one more condition" he said as she peerked her head to the side an he raised a piece of cloth "you'll need to wear a blind fold"
"......not happening " she said folding her arms
3 hours later
Boom.Boom.Boom.the pounding in ethereal's head left her eyes sore as she tried to concentrate "Invision a layout of purple vibrations flowing from a persons feet!" Shinra's voice echoed as she looked around.
Dirt covered her clothing as b bruises covered her body, it was the same process 1 or 2 toys would make small vibrations then shinra would send out his own and finally attack her. Though she was now blindfolded, her breaths were slow and shallow, she could very well feel the difference in each tool he threw and now, her task was to not only pinpoint the sound but to shoot a water blast towards it.
'ping' it's light and fast, her body elegantly turned around as her hand released her attack hitting it's target "ping pong" she yelled feeling a row of sweat roll down her face "good" ethereal heard him say. 'Blump!' it's louder and heavier, it's him she thought as her hand faced the location of the vibrations and released the water blast but this time more concentrated 'he moved!' she yelled internally Boom.Boom,Boom, her head along with her shacking body were becoming irritated as she now stood in a battle stance.
She felt his presents behind him causing her to raise her hand to strick him with her art,"arg!-" she yelped as shinra delivered a kick to the stomach then used her held out hand and his momentum to rotate her over his head and into the ground.
Kneeling on the ground With greeted teeth she clushed her abdomen with one hand, the other separating her head from the concrete ground as saliva,blood and dirt dripped from her mouth, the breakfast she had,threatening to spill.she was surprised that it was awfully quiet maybe it was her throbbing headache or her now stiff joints.
She heard a sigh from beside her "blindfold off" and so she took of her blind fold to be met with a bottle of water and a small white container Infront of her, she looked to the side to see shinra leaning against a tree his hand casually resting on his bent knee "drink" he said wearing a bored expression on his face.
She eyed him suspiciously, watching him roll his eyes "it's cold I assure you..also I can feel your headache a mile away and It's annoying" she sighed grabbing the bottled water anyway "it is cold" she mumbled then inetiquettedly she gulped on the ice cold water and pills slowly releasing a sigh afterwards ".....thanks" she spoke breaking the silence "yeah whatever "
Her eye twitched at his attitude and his behavior.
Before her shinra held his bent arm Infront of him observing the hollogram illuminating a light but strong blue with words over it. He looked irritated when he touched his watch causing the hollogram to fade. He noticed ethereal's questioning gaze he looked to be in deep thought, as he caught her gaze for a few seconds he stood up, turned around and started walking into the woods.
Ethereal still sat on her knees as she watched him go until he stoped and peered over his shoulder with a raised brow "you planning on sleeping or do you know your way back?" He asked as ethereal quickly stood up and followed him.
"Why not just teleport?" The girl asked tilting her head with narrowed eyes as she heard the male scoff " you can barely handle a few kicks to the gut with out feeling close to vomiting;teleporting with you would be abad idea" he explained as he lifted a branch away to not hit his face.
He checked his watch "it's 12:17 at 2, I'll bring you back her for an art session with Hana" he informed her as the girl simply nodded her head.
