BLAIR couldn't care less about the chaos in the bus, it was normal at yancy academy. whoever's idea it was to shove 25 troubled 6th
graders in a little yellow school bus must've been stupid. but here she was on their way to the met.

"blair!" percy yelled "what now?" "nothing just wanted to see if you were alive." percy smiled devilishly. percy was one of her best friends he was an inch shorter than her and had black fluffy hair and green eyes that reminded her of the sea. right next to him was grover
blair was certain grover had been held back a few grades.

he definitely looked it, he had curly brown hair, a tiny mustache, if you looked hard enough, and a limp. "i hate you" blair spat "you love me" percy sang "get me out of this bus." she grumbled. what didn't help her mood was nancy bobofit percy and grover's bully.

nancy didn't have the guts to mess with blair she was afraid of blair. but that didn't stop her from bullying percy and grover. blair hated nancy and her curly red hair. she didn't hate redheads until she met nancy, but anyway, nancy was throwing her lunch at grover. "i'm gonna kill her" percy mumbled.

blair would've encouraged percy to do so but unfortunately for them, percy would've been kicked out of yancy if he did. and as much as blair hated to say she would miss percy. grover smiled reassuringly "it's okay. i like peanut butter." "grover," blair said "you have to stop being a doormat!"

"i'm not!" he argued "really?" thankfully for grover, the bus had arrived at the metropolitan museum of art, or in shorter terms, the met.

mr. brunner was leading the tour. blair always took a liking to him, she thought of him as a father figure because her father had left
before she was even born. thanks to her deadbeat dad she found fatherly figures in her teachers. woohoo!

blair was always interested in art she loved it. her mother often said how her father adored art and it made blair slightly resentful
(but she never admitted it). if she could she would stare at art forever, anything in the art world interested her whether it was
music, dance, or poetry she didn't care she loved all.

mr. brunner lectured the class about a grave or a stele. blairs eyes wandered around til they met mrs. dodds. mrs. dodds was their algebra teacher and she despised her and percy but adored nancy. something about that little prissy redhead made mrs. dodds go crazy. she wasn't sure why mrs. dodds hated her and percy.

ok, maybe she did. blair and percy had to be separated in almost all classes because of the havoc that ensued when together. like the
time they nearly set a boy's hair on fire because he catcalled blair. but in their defense he deserved it!

"will you shut up?" blair whipped her head at the sound of percy's voice. apparently, he was talking to nancy because she kept
interrupting mr. brunner. then percy was told to explain the painting of kronos, the titan lord, eating his children.

"on that happy note, it's time for lunch. mrs. dodds, would you lead us back outside?" as blair, grover, and percy were getting ready to leave
mr. brunner called percy over for a talk "you guys go on." percy said "mrs. sawyer stay back a while i need to have a chat with you too."

blair was confused. she didn't cause any trouble, at least not that she knew of. grover had already trodded way, she silently prayed he
wouldn't get picked on. after mr. brunner talked with percy he called blair over "i hope you listened to my lecture mrs. sawyer."

she nodded even though blair knew she listened to half of his lecture "you never know when it might come in handy. i expect you
to be the best." which was hard considering she had dyslexia and adhd, but she still wanted to please him.

oh yeah, that was a big problem she had. people pleasing. she wasn't necessarily sure as to why she said yes to everything but she did.
her therapist had said it was because of her father's abandonment and that she was afraid to lose people. she never met him but it affected blair so much that she developed trust issues. dad's really winning here, huh?

"i'll do my best." "good, go on."

blair had scanned the front of the museum to look for her friends. when she spotted them near a fountain she quickly rushed over "hi" she smiled. percy and grover looked miserable "did you get detention?" grover inquired "no"

then came nancy bobofit and her peculiar looking friends, nancy dumped her lunch into grover's lap. blair was about to yell at them but
percy had beat her to it. she wasn't exactly sure what happened next. nancy was in the fountain yelling "percy pushed me!"

but to blair it didn't look like percy pushed her it was almost like the water grabbed her. "holy crap" she muttered "now, honey" mrs. dodds
started but grover interrupted her "wait! it was me. i pushed her."

mrs. dodds shut down grover and took percy for his punishment. grover was practically shaking "grover, percy's gonna be fine." blair assured. grover didn't hear her because he was staring nervously at mr. brunner.

"stay here." grover instructed before he started limping away. confused, blair yelled "grover!" "oh my gosh, did you see what happened?"
blair turned to a blonde girl, her roommate, lexi sullivan. lexi was never mean toward blair, in fact they were pretty close.

"well yeah i was right there." "about time nancy got put in her place. hey, are you dating percy?" blair nearly choked on her spit
"i'm sorry?"

"is percy single? because i think he's pretty cute and like i really wanna ask him out before the end of this school year or something."
"um well-" there was no way she would ever date percy. i mean sure she thought his smile was the best thing on this earth, and she
loved his messy hair, his deep tan, his eyes, and his personality, blair could talk about percy all day, but that's beside the point.

"no percy's single." lexi smiled "thank you!" then it started to rain and grover rushed over to the girl "hey," he said breathlessly and
used a museum map as a tent for the two.

shortly after percy came out "i hope mrs. kerr whipped your butt." nancy spat. blair and percy were dumbfounded. whos mrs. kerr?
"who?" percy asked "our teacher. duh!" nancy walked away annoyed.

weird. they never had a teacher named mrs. kerr, and nobody knew who mrs. dodds was not even grover.

percy walked away to give mr. brunner back his pen, "grover, you know how mrs. dodds is." he paused "no i don't." but he looked
guilty like he knew who she was but was keeping a secret. blair eyed grover skeptically but decided to move on.

"blair, can i talk to you for a sec?" percy asked she nodded and followed him to a little secluded area. "please tell me you know who
mrs. dodds is." "i do."

"i feel like i'm going crazy, i mean, grover doesn't know mrs. dodds or mr. brunner and when i went inside the museum with mrs. dodds
i had this... experience." blair gave him a questioning look "what do you mean 'experience'?"

"i don't know how to explain it but her eyes were glowing, and she grew talons, wings, and fangs. she was about to kill me. and then
mr. brunner came inside and threw a pen at me and when i caught it turned into that bronze sword he uses during
tournament day.

mrs. dodds tried to kill me and when i swung the sword she exploded into yellow powder. and i was alone mr. brunner was gone
and the sword was back into a pen. and i'm just so confused because it felt so real like i wasn't dreaming. do you know what i mean?"

as crazy as it sounded blair knew what percy had meant. they both had vivid imaginations and often dreamed of mythical
creatures. it was so bad to the point psychiatrists thought they were insane.

"i believe you" she put a hand on his shoulder "we should probably get going." percy nodded and they headed to the bus.
