.........

I feel myself coming back from the world of sleep, slowly stirring awake as I hear the sound of the birds flying freely above in the sky. I sigh as I open my eyes and get up slowly, still a bit hazy from my nap. I stare at the sky above, a painted canvas of the sunset, something I learned that I adore after I fled to the real world.

Norta is far away, probably in peace as I last left it, deciding to explore the world with my trusted companion. Mare was quite disheartened when she heard my plan and asked me to stay, but I could no longer tolerate that country. It was too much and too little for me at the same time. Memories of people I lost, people I considered family, Julian's name echoes in my mind and my heart aches, he was the father I never had and I was the daughter he needed.

Eventually, Mare woefully accepted my decision. She understood how I needed to see the world and knew we had to let each other go.

"I will miss you so much (Name)"

I had just packed my small number of belongings, ready to go to explore the world. Her words made me pause a little, and I turned to her with a sad smile, my heart beating that painful rhythm it always played when I saw Mare being so gloomy.

"Mare, I will miss you more than you will understand." I took her hands in mind, dropping my bags in the process. "You have taught me more about myself than I could ever have learned. You helped me rise and ascend to farther beings of myself. You helped me discover the body and mind that is called (Name)."

I smiled at her and took her face in my hands. Her eyes were full of tears and I could feel my own vision getting blurry. "I can never thank you enough Mare."

"You can." She smiled back at me and pulled me closer. "Kiss me one last time my little dark matter."

I sighed. I yearned for her to ask me that, and I leaned in, pressing my lips to hers softly and then more eagerly, trying to put my love for her in that final kiss. She kissed me back and wrapped her arms around my waist.

After a few seconds that felt both like forever and a blink of an eye, we pulled back. One more smile, another touch of the hands and I turned away from her, starting my journey towards a new life.

I stare at the sea, still amazed by how much water this world contains. I remember Julian saying that it is about three fourth of our planet. I watch as the waves clash with each other, the wind carrying them towards the beach, where I sit and gaze at the sea, completely fascinated, I will never get used to it.

"Sea watching again?"

I feel hands wrap around my back and a body that pulls me closer so that my back is pressed against their chest. I smile as I lace my fingers with his hands.

"Making fun of me for never seeing nature again?" I turn back and stare into the icy blue, the same eyes that glare daggers into other people but not to me, never to me. His eyes spread warmth all around my body, kind and glowing, something other people would never see.

"I'm not making fun of you, just stating a fact, you are sea watching again." Maven laughs at me and I roll my eyes. "It's incredibly endearing though, if you ask me."

"And you were staring at me, let's say (Name) watching, again." I state proudly and this time I laugh at his bewildered face.

"I'll never understand how you just know everything, how you feel everything, it's kind of creepy." But he's smiling. And I smile back at him.

He leans in and pulls me closer to him, I let him do it, I don't think a day will come when I resist his kisses.

Our lips touch softly, and then more passionately as they always do. I can feel his heat radiating, soothing me more than anything else. His hands move towards my face and I pull apart to turn my body towards him and pull him in again. Clashing our lips together as he holds my face firmly but also delicately like he fears I will run away but doesn't want to hurt me, giving me a choice, a choice I will never make.

We pull apart but his hands tangle my hair, massaging my scalp tenderly. I'm always amazed by how lovingly he looks at me, developed between the years that have passed, belonging only to me.

"I love you, you know that right?" He whispers into my ear, giving me a shiver he notices and smirks about.

"I do."

"I don't think you know how much though." He gives me a gentle look, pouting slightly. "I think I should show you."

I let out a laugh that turns into a girly giggle, but I don't have time to be ashamed of my actions as Maven gets up, pulls me to my feet, and then picks me up in his hands, bridal style.

"Do you want me to show you?" He smirks as I nod shyly, feeling a blush booming on my face. "Say it." He demands.

"I do."

"You do what?"

"I- I want you to show me how much you love me."

He grins. "Then let's get back to the hut, it's getting dark outside anyways."

"It's always dark with me." I remind him.

He looks into my eyes seriously. "Never."

Then he walks back into the hut, carrying me along with him, towards the new life we have built for ourselves, outside the war.

I never thought that my life would turn this way, but it is the best thing that has happened to me.

I cannot be happier.
