Margaret loved music; she loved to dance and sing just as much as she loved to sit and listen to old songs. This privilege was denied her at Welton. So, imagine her joy when she learned that Pitts and Meeks' radio project was finally complete.

One afternoon, while everyone was engaged in sports activities, the three friends found a secluded spot on the heights of the school where no one could disturb them, and they tried to tune into a station with music.

"Meeks, if Nolan catches us here with Margaret, we're definitely getting detention!" protested Pitts.

"We built this radio together! We have to test it out," Meeks countered.

"Please, it's been ages since I've heard any music!" Margaret pleaded, her eyes shining with excitement.

Pitts sighed and set to work helping Meeks. After about ten minutes, they had almost lost hope when an upbeat Blues tune came through. Margaret jumped up and started dancing, accompanied by her two friends. Neither of them had any talent for dancing, but that didn't make the moment any less enjoyable. Meeks kept apologizing for stepping on Margaret's foot, while Pitts tried his best to keep up with the rhythm.

As they had been having fun for about half an hour, the rest of the group found them just as "Shake, Rattle and Roll" was playing on the radio, and by some pure magic, everyone started dancing. Neil took his sister's hand and spun her around. The two were used to dancing together to rock music and had gained a lot of experience.

Margaret laughed heartily as Neil twirled and lifted her into the air. Everyone applauded and offered to dance with her. It was a complete failure with Cameron, Knox had better luck, and even Todd dared to dance with her, surprising everyone with how well he danced.

Then it was Charlie's turn. He took Margaret's hand and smiled mischievously at her as he placed a hand on her waist. They looked into each other's eyes for a very short moment that seemed to last much longer for them. Then, they danced, executing increasingly difficult steps. Charlie led the dance wonderfully, and Margaret, trusting him completely, let herself be carried away by the music. Their friends watched them with fascination, and Margaret laughed every time Charlie lifted and spun her. The music ended, and both almost regretted having to separate.

"You've improved," Charlie complimented.

"So have you," Margaret said shyly.

The group congratulated Meeks and Pitts on their great radio, and suddenly, they heard Nolan talking and approaching their direction.

"Oh no! Not Nolan!" Cameron exclaimed.

"He can't see you here!" Neil said to Margaret.

"It's not my fault if the teachers supposed to supervise me are completely inept!"

"Don't argue, just go!" Charlie insisted.

"And how exactly am I supposed to do that?"

He pointed to a gutter leading down into a large puddle of water. At first, Margaret refused, but hearing Nolan's footsteps getting closer, she had no choice but to escape through this exit. She slid down the gutter and landed both feet in the puddle, completely soaking her stockings. The boys chuckled gently at the sight, but immediately fell silent when Nolan arrived near them.

"Gentlemen, may I ask what you are doing with a radio here?" the principal asked.

"Oh, nothing at all, sir!" Cameron tried to justify.

"We were trying to listen to the news," Pitts lied.

"You have the newspaper for that. I don't want to see your radio around here again."
