Travis woke up early on Sunday morning, the excitement of the past couple of days lingering. He stretched, feeling a contentment that he hadn't felt in a long time. The previous days with Taylor had been incredible, and he was looking forward to whatever she had planned for today. He checked his phone and saw a message from Taylor.
**Taylor:** Good morning! How about we start the day with a walk along the riverfront? Meet me at 9 AM at the pedestrian bridge. :)
**Travis:** Morning, Taylor! Sounds perfect. See you soon!
After a quick shower and breakfast, Travis made his way to the pedestrian bridge. The air was crisp, and the city was just waking up. As he approached the bridge, he saw Taylor waiting, looking effortlessly beautiful in a casual outfit and sunglasses.
"Hey, Travis!" she called, waving him over.
"Hey, Taylor," he replied, giving her a hug. "Ready for another adventure?"
"Always," she said with a smile. "The riverfront is beautiful this time of day. Let's go."
They began their walk, the conversation flowing easily between them. The river glistened in the morning sun, and the city's skyline provided a stunning backdrop.
"How did you sleep?" Taylor asked, glancing at him.
"Great," Travis said. "I think all the exploring wore me out in a good way. What about you?"
"Same here," Taylor said, laughing. "I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow."
They walked in companionable silence for a while, enjoying the peaceful morning. Eventually, they found a bench overlooking the river and sat down.
"This spot is perfect," Travis said, taking in the view. "Thanks for bringing me here."
"Of course," Taylor said, smiling. "It's one of my favorite places to come and think."
They sat there for a while, talking about everything and nothing. Taylor shared stories about her songwriting process and the inspiration behind some of her favorite songs. Travis listened intently, fascinated by her creative mind.
"I can't imagine writing songs like you do," Travis said. "It seems so personal and vulnerable."
"It is," Taylor said, her eyes thoughtful. "But that's what makes it special. Music is my way of processing my feelings and experiences."
"I get that," Travis said. "Football is my outlet in a way. It's where I can channel all my energy and focus."
They continued their walk along the riverfront, eventually making their way to a small outdoor café. They grabbed some coffee and pastries, finding a table with a view of the water.
"So, what's the plan for the rest of the day?" Travis asked as he took a sip of his coffee.
"I was thinking we could have a relaxing day," Taylor said. "Maybe head back to my place, watch some movies, and just hang out. How does that sound?"
"That sounds perfect," Travis said, smiling. "I could use a chill day."
After finishing their breakfast, they headed back to Taylor's apartment. It was cozy and inviting, with personal touches everywhere that reflected her personality. They settled on the couch, scrolling through a list of movies to watch.
"How about a classic rom-com?" Taylor suggested, her eyes twinkling. "I'm in the mood for something light and fun."
"Sounds good to me," Travis said. "You pick."
They settled on "When Harry Met Sally," a movie they both loved. As the film played, they found themselves laughing at the same moments and sharing quiet smiles during the romantic scenes.
Halfway through the movie, Taylor turned to Travis with a playful grin. "So, Travis, have you ever tried singing?"
Travis chuckled, shaking his head. "Only in the shower. I'm not exactly musically inclined."
"Come on," Taylor said, nudging him with her elbow. "I bet you have a decent voice. Want to give it a try?"
"Right now?" Travis asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Why not?" Taylor said, grabbing her guitar from a nearby stand. "I can play something simple, and you can sing along. It'll be fun."
Travis hesitated for a moment, then shrugged. "Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you."
Taylor laughed and started strumming a familiar tune. It was "You Belong With Me," one of her biggest hits. She sang the first verse, then looked at Travis expectantly as she reached the chorus.
He joined in, his voice deep and a little unsure at first. But as they continued, he found himself getting into it, his confidence growing. Taylor's encouragement and laughter made it easier.
"See? You're not bad at all!" Taylor said, smiling widely when they finished. "You've got potential, Travis."
"Thanks," Travis said, feeling a little embarrassed but also proud. "That was fun."
They spent the rest of the afternoon singing together, laughing at their mistakes and enjoying the easy camaraderie. As evening approached, they decided to take a break and order some takeout.
Sitting at the dining table, they shared a meal and talked about their plans for the future.
"Do you ever think about what you'll do after football?" Taylor asked, curiosity in her eyes.
"Sometimes," Travis admitted. "I love the game, but I know it won't last forever. I've thought about coaching or maybe doing something in broadcasting. What about you? Do you see yourself always making music?"
"I can't imagine doing anything else," Taylor said. "But I'd like to explore other creative avenues too. Maybe acting or writing a book. There's so much I want to do."
"You'll be great at whatever you choose," Travis said sincerely. "You have a way of making everything you do special."
"Thanks, Travis," Taylor said, blushing slightly. "That means a lot."
After dinner, they moved back to the couch, feeling a comfortable closeness between them. The night grew darker outside, the city lights twinkling through the windows.
"Travis," Taylor said softly, turning to him. "I've really enjoyed this weekend. It's been wonderful getting to know you better."
"Me too, Taylor," Travis said, taking her hand. "I feel like we've really connected."
"I feel the same way," Taylor said, her eyes warm. "I'm glad we met."
They sat there in silence for a moment, the weight of their feelings settling between them. Travis felt a surge of emotion, realizing just how much Taylor had come to mean to him in such a short time.
"Taylor," he said, his voice low. "I've really fallen for you. This weekend has been amazing, and I don't want it to end."
"Travis," Taylor said, her eyes glistening with emotion. "I feel the same way. I've been so happy with you."
He leaned in, and she met him halfway. Their kiss was tender and full of promise, a moment that felt both timeless and brand new.
When they finally pulled away, they smiled at each other, the world around them fading into the background.
"Stay a little longer?" Taylor asked softly.
"I'd love to," Travis replied, his heart full.
They spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and sharing dreams for the future. As they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, they knew that this was just the beginning of something truly special.
