BEEP BEEP!

BEEP!!

BEEEEEEPPPP!!!

Those are the sounds of angry parents who just want to drop their kids off at school. The line outside of Richmond High has been particularly long, too long for most parents. A bird flies across the lengthy line of cars until it gets thrown off course by Brian's father.

BEEEEEPPP!!

"Tssswww. I give up chale" Mr Kumawor sighs.

"Beep again, Beep again honey" Mrs Kumawor says with way more enthusiasm. "What is the matter with your school Brian? Were we the ones who lit that fire?"

Brian simply sighs and looks out of the window. His parents have been beeping and complaining for 5 minutes straight, he just can't wait to get out.

"WERE MOVING!! HALLELUJAH WERE MOVING SON!!" Mr Kumawor blurts out as he starts moving the car slowly.

Brian catches a better glance of the school. Glimpses of Kissi flash his mind, but he quickly shakes it off. He sees there's no smoke from the girls side, so thats nice. He looks at the entrance to see a bunch of police officers. Not one, not two, many police men and women, directing the cars as well as leading students into the campus. They slowly drive by a pair of police walking casually to the school. He got a bit confused when he saw a gun holster on both of these men. What in the world would they need guns for at his high school?

"STOP!!" Shouts a police woman. She directs Brian's father as to where to park.

Its a grassy area outside the campus.

"Please get down," the police woman said to Brian, Knocking gently on the window.

Brian slowly came out of the car, and so did his parents. They were all quite confused about the search.

" Please bring out all your belongings," policewoman demanded.

"Excuse me, why is my son being searched here?" Mrs Kumawor asked.

"Mummy its chill" Brian said as he opened the trunk to bring out his big 'Ghana must go' bag. Brian was in no mood to argue with a policewoman.

Mr Kumawor also brought out Brian's other bag. The policewoman then proceeded to deeply search them.

"I mean its just that we are usually checked inside!" Mr Kumawor giggled to the policewoman.

No response. The woman just continued checking.

"Or not checked at all ? WHAT IS ALL THIS LA!!" Mrs Kumawor shouted.

"Mom_"Brian tried to cool her down.

"NO,NO!! WHAT IS ALL THIS? TREATING THEM LIKE SOME-SOME CRIMINALS!! MY SON WAS A PREFECT!!"

"Yes Ma'am," the policewoman agreed looking up a bit at his mom. "He was".

She was right, he's no more a prefect, and the school is not what it once was.

"You look clean. Welcome home boy!"

"Thanks, but we got it.Bro, you look tired!!" Nhyira grunted.

"Oh please, you look more tired (grunt) than (grunt) me!" Thomas responded, firming his grip on Nhyira's box.

"Hehee , don't cry ok? We're almost there" Nhyira joked.

They finally reached the first floor of the boy's dorm. Nhyira then dragged his box into dorm 8 as Thomas paused to take deep breaths.
