Hello, I'm back! Sorry this one-shot took forever to publish (have been quite busy this week seeing lots of old friends) but I said I was going to do a Kid!Lock one with John and Sherlock in so here it is!
Title: School Sickness
Author: Me (@_Girl_Who_Lived_)
Fandom: BBC Sherlock
Pairing/Theme: Kid!Lock (Johnlock if you squint)
Genre: Funny, Comfort, tiny bit of hurt
Summary: When John gets ill at school, how will Sherlock react and help him?
Disclamier: All the Sherlock characters don't belong to me and I'm just writing this for fun!
Notes: In this one-shot I've made John's dad not a very nice person (no mentions of abuse though) but we don't know if John's dad was a horrible person or not so I just let my imagination explode :)

"Bus rides are so boring!" 11 year old Sherlock Holmes complained to his older brother Mycroft as the pair walked towards their school bus stop.
16 year old Mycroft Holmes sighed as he hailed the bus towards them as it turned round the street corner towards them.
"Get used to it little brother" he said as they boarded the bus, both of them showing the driver they bus passes (Mycroft's supporting a posh photo of himself wearing a smug expression which clashed horribly with Sherlock's bus pass photo which contained Sherlock pulling the most disgusted face he could pull and get away with).

"Everyone is so boring" Sherlock muttered moodily as the two brothers made their way down the bus isle. Sighing, Mycroft continued to ignore his brother's complains and sat down with his posh, snobby friends at the front of the bus. Sherlock continued his way past all the chatting school children until he reached his usual seat near the back of the bus. He didn't like being near people who bothered him with their pathetic conversations and would much rather spend his time on the school bus being alone. Well, alone with his companion John Watson.

Sherlock hadn't been concentrating and didn't realise that the school bus had reached his best friend's stop. However, when he saw the smaller boy with sandy blonde hair grin, wave and make his way towards him, Sherlock smiled back and moved his bag across to make room for John to sit down.
"Hello!" John greeted him, a broad smile across his freckled face (John was in Sherlock's year at school and was Sherlock's best and only friend).
"Morning" Sherlock replied, managing a small smile in return.
"I had to run to the bus stop, I overslept" John told Sherlock as the bus continued on it's journey.
"Let me guess, your alarm didn't go off?" Sherlock deduced.
"Yeah, and I didn't get to have any breakfast" John continued.
"I hardly ever have breakfast" Sherlock told him, staring out the window as the houses zoomed past.
"Why not? Don't you get hungry?" John asked, swaying slightly in his seat due to the bus jolting.

Sherlock shook his head.
"I'm never hungry in the mornings. Mother and Father used to try to get me to eat but they gave up a long time ago. Now only Mycroft attempts to get me to eat" he informed his blonde companion.
"Why does Mycroft force you?" John asked curiously.
Sherlock shrugged.
"No idea. Apparently he 'cares for me'" he said snorting.
The two boys glanced at Mycroft and his friends at the front of the bus, all of them chatting like superiors.
"Does Mycroft eat breakfast?" John asked after a pause.
"Yeah, he usually eats cereal and toast but I caught him eating something else yesterday morning when he thought nobody was around" Sherlock said, smirking.
"What was he eating?" John asked.
"Cake" Sherlock said simply and the two boys burst out laughing. They distinctly saw Mycroft narrow his eyes suspiciously at them before retuning to the conversation he was having with his friend.
"He needs to go on a diet" Sherlock said grinning and John nodded in agreement.

"Want to listen to music?" John asked, producing his phone and a set of earphones from his bag.
Sherlock smiled and nodded. He didn't have his own phone yet (they were practically a waste of money and time and he'd rather be given books or lab equipment for his birthday) but John always shared his phone with Sherlock.
After untangling the earphones, both boys inserted one earphone into their ears and John handed the phone to Sherlock; John didn't mind what they listened to because he didn't have a favourite artist or song. Sherlock's favourite band (well, he thought they weren't hopeless and a lot better than all the other bands John had on his phone) was 'Fall Out Boy' and a moment later the song 'Centuries' bleared out of the earphones. Both boys smiled as the ride continued.
