6) Why You Chose Him (Johnlock/Anti Sherlolly)

Hey! It's finally summer holidays so I'm getting back into the habit of updating more often! This story took A LOT longer to write than I expected because I changed the story's plot half way through (it was getting too long and was turning into more of a book than a single one-shot!) but I hope this is okay!

John Watson wasn't sure how everyone would react when it was revealed that himself and sociopath Sherlock Holmes were romantically together. He was nervous and not sure if it was the right time to reveal their relationship status to the world yet (though many people already had their suspicions) but one encouraging smile from Sherlock wiped all the doubt from his mind as the two men walked, hand in hand, towards each individual to break their good news to them.

Most people had good reactions and some had too good a reaction. Lestrade grinned and clapped both men on their shoulders, thoroughly congratulating them in front of the whole of Scotland Yard but Mrs Hudson went ecstatic with joy and squealed happily for a good whole 10 minutes before Sherlock and John managed to calm her down enough, though she continued beaming at her two boys and muttering "All grown up....so proud....knew it was more than friendship!"

Some people's reactions were neutral. Mycroft merely nodded and said "It was fairly obvious" before going back to his cake and news paper and Sarah smiled slightly before meekly congratulating them (John hoped that Sarah was completely over their break up but he wasn't 100% sure yet).

However, there were some negative reactions, as Sherlock and John (naturally) had been expecting. When Sally and Anderson heard that Sherlock was 'gay with John' as they put it, both looked disgusted and Anderson muttered loudly in John's direction "Great, just what we needed; another freak occupying London". John, however, ignored them both and managed to keep a firm grip on Sherlock's arm to prevent the detective from punching the I.Q lowerer in his stupid pointed face.
"John!" Sherlock protested loudly as John marched Sherlock from the building and into a taxi.
"Sherlock, you really think I was going to let you punch Anderson in front of POLICE OFFICERS?" John asked incredulously as their taxi began moving.
"He insulted you" Sherlock grumbled under his breath as heavy rain from outside splattered against the cab's windshield wipers.
"I know, Sherlock, but he's not worth it" John reasoned with his huffy detective boyfriend.
"Yes but YOU'RE worth it!" Sherlock said, turning round to stare at John, who felt his cheeks going pink.

15 minutes later, Sherlock and John entered St Bart's hospital to break the news to their last friend; Molly Hooper. Sherlock knew she would be upstairs in the morgue so the two men began climbing up to the 5th floor. When they reached the door of the morgue, Sherlock opened it and held it open for his soldier boyfriend. Both men could see Molly was at the back of the morgue; she was examining a body, her face creased with concentration as she took down notes on her white clipboard. However, she looked up suddenly when John and a Sherlock made their way towards her holding hands.
"Oh, hello!" Molly said happily, having not noticed their hand holding. Sherlock gave John's hand a reassuring squeeze before the doctor began speaking.
"Hello Molly" John greeted her before clearing his throat.
"We, Sherlock and I, have come to tell you some news..." he began but Molly cut him off, suddenly looking slightly worried.
"You haven't got a terminal illness have you?" she asked them, her large amber eyes suddenly widening with concern.
John shook his head quickly.
"No, no, it's good news!" he said smiling.
"Sherlock and I are in a relationship" John said after taking a deep breath. However, Molly continued to look confused so Sherlock butted in.
"He means we are romantically together" Sherlock said as Molly continued to look confused.
