A monster's playground (chapter 5)

(They thought, they could keep me locked up in this prison forever? Away from Them! Nah! I'm back after 5 years, they are all gonna pay.)
"Mellow! the car is here, we got to go before the cops find us!"
"Tsk! Alright gruck."
"It's Grey, man! Now let's go."

"Nina, we found one of them." said an agent next to her. "Take Matla home safely, ok C?" Nina instructed. Nina teleported to
The location that was sent to her by the agent. She reached the location in a blink of an eye.

When she arrived, it was already pandorium. There was a heavy car chase happening and the target was easy to identify. It's was like a peacock showing off its beautiful feathers. The rogue inmate was wreaking havoc in Los Angeles: first bulging in people's yards, jumping fences, and stealing owned cars in the parking lots or homes. He even threatened some people he came across with.

  (One woman had to hold her man back.  On his fourth Carjack, the owner of a car fought back, but his efforts were futile. The owner wrestled the inmate out, but he was overwhelmed by the monsterious strength of the giant. The  inmate just pushed him out of the vehicle. In response, he grabbed the door hinge. The prisoner, thinking that he succeeded in attaining the car, he started it up. Moving more and more, the man who was hunging on to his stolen car but failed to hang on any longer which led his body to go underneath the Ford and immediately crashed to death. The car drove off leaving the body behind.)

Nina saw the speedy car which she chose to teleport inside of. On the back seat of the Ford she discovered a baby in his Rear-facing seat. Looking up at the  Rear-view Mirror, the driver ended up being startled by seeing a person in the back seat and crashed on a tree. The teleporter used her powers and escaped with the baby on her hands as if she was lightning it self. Being 40 meters away, she began seeing the front car door bursting opening and breaking off the car.

The prisoner crawled out of the car and fell on his knees. The police who were pursuing the stolen car circled the area in order to trap the guy. Nina handed over the baby to one of the police officers.

A police officer : put your hands up and stand on your knees!
We got you all surrounded!

He began running at the officers at his left
Like a wild rhino rampaging at its foes.

The police officers began shooting all in unison from all angles. After a couple of more shots were fired, they all stopped firing. There was something that was suddenly sparkling where the man was standing. The man was completely covered by steel.

Nina :huh? So he is one of *those* criminals who were said to be leaving a trail of chaos everywhere they went. I better get serious then.
It doesn't help that it's so danm hot though.

*Wiped her sweat *

She quickly clenched her fists together and teleported to the front of the man as he was about to charge towards the police officers. She tried to round house kick his head off. The impact of the kick was completely stiff. The guy didn't even flinche his muscles. Nina ended up teleporting away from him to re-strategize her approach so she could capture the man.
As she was figuring out the solution, the man in steel went with the attack. Nina ended up postponing her thoughts, avoiding  the punch in a nick of time and teleported behind him.
(ok, so he is covered with steel. So the weakness must be... OK. He must have the same properties.I have this gun slow him down. )
"hopefully this laser gun won't kill him, but open up his defenses."(I just need enough power to blow that steel apart.)

Nina, without wasting any more time shot the back of the inmate blasting him  forward and falling on his face. The steel was finally cracked opened. It started to detach from the man, giving Nina an opportunity to take advantage of it.
Seeing this opportunity, Nina just teleported to the guy and removed a syringe together with a tiny bottle filled with some kind of medicine or drug. She filled the syringe with the drug and quickly injected it to the exposed arm of the man. The man tried to summon back the steel in him but ended up looking like a idiot in the process.
He suddenly began to sway his body and fumble around until he fell on his back.
