A little couple of lies won't hurt anyone

I had a talk with Anna and Norman, mostly i apologized on my behalf for running I guess. They didn't ask any question really because I probably won't say anything more. And Nica, I had to lie to her about where I went, that may sound bad but if I told her that I was with Lenora she would be furious. How do I know that? Well, when Lenora walked me over to the house, Nica opened the door and immediately glared towards Lenora for what? She didn't do anything, she just walked with me. And then she shut the door before I could thank her for walking me.

But at the same time, I can't really blame Nica because I know she was worried for me and she could've thought Lenora made me do something I guess. Anyway, to make it up to Nica we walked to school with each other. She was all smile and happy while I on the other hand was hurting. Lately my headaches been way more severe than normal. It's at a point of being unbearable.

Nica and I immediately went our separate ways when we stepped foot in the building and I mean that she went to her friends and I went to class. I sat down and took my pill then putting my head down while I wait for class to begin. Which usually I sit by myself but I hear some sit down beside me, I looked up to see this blonde boy. I never seen him before but maybe he has been here the whole time I just never noticed. As I was about to put my head back down I heard a scoff. "I wouldn't sit here jewel. This one got quite a temper." Landon. Or was it Lester? He shot me a glare as he tapped his finger on my desk.  And did he say Jewel? This is Christian Jewel?

Fernando tried to pull him away but he pushed him off, Christian looked at him up and down. "Just maybe you are only half of the problem? I mean come on, Lionel you start the problems and that's why you get your ass beat. I mean we all have our experiences." Christian said. I just kinda sat there watching this all go down. I didn't know if I should say anything or if I just keep my mouth shut. "You are confident now, Aren't you Jewel?" I look at Fernando and he just stood there looking at Christian. "Please, I always been confident, I mean do you know who I am?" Christian sounded appalled.

"I was just trying to give you some advice, Jewel."  Lionel said as he shot me one last glare and walked away with Fernando following after him. "I'm assuming those injuries from both of your faces are from well each other." Christian asked. I didn't respond but I'm pretty sure he knew the answer. "You know I heard you fought both Lionel and Fernando. You got quite the reputation."

"Those two are punks." I said, Christian laughed and leaned a bit closer towards me. "Punks is only the nice way to say it to describe those two." He said with a smile on his face. When Lenora first mentioned his name he sounded like a big douche but now that I'm talking to him he doesn't seem so bad. "I'm Christian by the way. Christian fucking Jewel. I'm only the best person you will probably meet in this lame school." His energy was making me feel exhausted. "Rigel." I said. "Star, huh? Interesting." I have no idea what I got myself into.

Throughout class though he wasn't his energetic self, it was like a complete shift from before. He was serious and very focused. But it wasn't until lunch where I was sitting outside doing some other homework where Christian sat across from me. "Do you not bring anything to eat?" He asked. I shook my head which cause him to dig through his backpack. I just stared at him while he was going through it which finally he threw me this sandwich that was wrapped in plastic wrap. "Thanks?" I said, he nodded his head while bringing out another one out of his backpack.

I began unwrapping the sandwich while Christian was already eating away, "I'm surprised you aren't with Fernando, Christian." The voice both startled us and we saw Lenora standing there looking at us confused. "I can only stand them for a while, Nora. Plus I'm with my new friend-" she immediately cut him off. "Rigel. I know." She said as she took a seat near me. Christian looked her with furrowed brows.

"Shouldn't you be with Olive and Rika?" He asked as he took another bite of his lunch. She looked at him annoyed then looked over at me. "Here are the sheets of music that we are doing for the show. Meet me after school in the music room so we can practice." She said with a slight smile and handed me a folder. Christian put his hand over his mouth while smiling while looking towards Lenora. "You better be there." She said as she got up, I waved at her goodbye then Christian leaned his head on his hand amused. "You know Lenora?"

"We are partners for Biology and for the talent show." I explained, he raised his eyebrows and his smile slowly faded. "You are going to be in some deep shit if you do that show with her. You realize that, right?"

"I'm aware of some of the problems." I said. He didn't say anything else and instead dropped the subject. "What with that girl looking at you? I've never seen Miki and Billie have any other friends beside each other." He laughed. The only one could be Nica. "Do you not like them?" I asked.

"Fuck no! Those girls are problem starters always will and always have been." I looked at him confused and he sighed looking annoyed. "We go way back. Mostly Miki and Lenora. They were best friends but they were little shits. But we had this show and tell, Lenora had this locket that her grandmother gave to her who she been close all her life. Miki had a similar one and thought Lenora was copying her. So, Miki accidentally broke it." I never met Miki but she seems like a quiet type.

"So Lenora, Fernando and I told everyone in grade that she was the one who blew up in the bathroom and the reason why it was closed for so long. Everyone called her miss poopie pants." He said with a mischievous smile. That is kind of messed up. "That didn't last though, we had this party full of rich bastards and Nora was going to play infront of them but Miki who was upset, messed up her violin. Causing it to get out of tun. And she played in front of them, it sounded horrible and she ran off stage. Didn't show her face for the rest of the night."

"Next, first year here. Garden day. Miki had a long crush on Fernando so Nora sent her a note and a rose saying that he felt the same way and that he is waiting at his locker for her. She did and got rejected because Nora and him were I guess dating but anyways, I'm not really sure what happened next but I know it's not pretty." He explained.

"What do you mean that you guess that they were dating." I asked, he smiled and took another bite of his sandwich. "Well, Lenora and I used to date. It was like a couple months during the summer and we were each others first kiss and make out. But we never really found it so serious so she started dating Fernando." They didn't find it serious? That sounds like a pretty serious relationship. But why did she lie about them being together. She told me that they were never together.

I could feel myself clenching the folder she gave to me and Christian almost looked amused. "Better want to be careful with those, Rigel. It's one of her favorite." God dammit.
